I have been wondering how I’d know if The Holy Spirt was truly in me and our Heavenly Father, (via Justin Peters) let me know tonight that if we have a Godly sorrow, instead of a worldly sorrow when we repent of our sins, then that is The Holy Spirit in us. I’m so grateful. It’s the first time that I can actually see The Holy Spirit doing a work in me. I am so blessed, humbled and grateful. This is the greatest gift of all. To know that you are following CHRIST and He has sent THE HOLY SPIRIT to you. Thanks and praise be to GOD! 🙏🏽🙌🏽

What would one say to someone who feels like they are in between the two types of sorrows? In my case, I initially felt that fear over my consequence, both in my earthly relationships of people finding out and the consequence of hell itself as a punishment from God, but that itself did lead me to confession on a broad scale of my sin (which I was indeed swimming in and seeking times to commit sin purposefully). But now, I don't necessarily feel that desire to go back to the sin itself, nor do I seek the opportunities either. It scares me too much to go back to it, but then at times I can convince myself (or perhaps it is Satan in my mind) that I am not really sorry for my sin at all and that I am just telling myself that to ease my conscience. Do I believe that voice that suggests I am not truly sorry for my sin? Or the other voice? I feel ridiculously confused since my initial 'saving' repentance was indeed motivated by fear of consequence. Have I just turned from sin and tried to start doing the right things (leading to moralism still and not born again)? Or have I really been born again? Anyone else have a similar experience? Thanks.

Hi, I completely understand your struggle, I really do. I've had several battles where I thought I really wasn't saved because of some of my motivations ... To the point of despair and crying out to God to not start something in me and not finish it. I was broken .... Again. But to the point that if I wasn't truly saved, then I was truly damned? How could I ever go back to who I was when I was an unbeliever now that I know the Lord and my Creator? After about a week and arguing with my Bike study friend, I finally came to my senses. I AM SAVED PERIOD and HE saved me from my wretched life. Why had I questioned my Salvationn? I believe my foundations were not firm. My friend wrote down many verses for me to read, read out loud, summarize and then write my application for my life. And when I'm done with one verse, I send it all to her. It blesses us both. I am a fairly new Christian of 4 yrs and I was 50 when I got saved. I think all too many times, people get saved by saying the prayer and then they are left to themselves. I was "told" to do a lot of things, but was poor in follow through, etc. I had a weak start, probably the 1st two yrs would be considered junk as I didn't just jump into the scripture and seek knowledge. However, what I know now, it was and is part of sanctification, which is ongoing until the day I meet Christ! The basic doctrines of grace, mercy, faith, salvation, justification are vital to our identity in Christ, to name a few. Also, there is the enemy, looking to steal and kill you and me but also to distract us from our relationship with God. When I look back at the moments I thought I want really saved, I forgot everything! Even if only for a minute, satan had a little victory. That doesn't sit well with me so I pressed on. God does all the work in salvation & sanctification and so much more! There use nothing I can do! I still don't understand what all that looks like but I believe Him and His promises! Sometimes all I have to stand on are His attributes. I did a study once on that and sometimes that's how I sleep at night ... Pondering His Holiness or His choosing me before time ever existed or that He has a plan and purpose for my life! Those things are very simple but also complex. I don't know if this helps at all but we are to edify each other whenever possible. Finding good preachers is another thing. Expository teaching from the Bible is the Way. I'm still a newbie so I listen to guys like MacArthur or even classical reformers. When I do Google things, I have learned there are very few sites that are true to the Word. If it feels wrong or doesn't match up with scripture .... Run! Man's interpretation is flawed but the scripture interprets itself. Many daily devotionals are whacked I found out recently. You are better off just reading scripture and wherever you struggle with a word or concept, then seek reliable commentary. Sometimes I find myself in a hurry to know more than I do. That usually doesn't go well and sometimes I have a setback because of it. Be content & know that you are where you are supposed to be. Also, is there fruit in your walk? Do you love God's Word? Do you believe the scripture is the only truth and instruction for your life? I've gone on and on ... I only hope you are well and pray for you. 🙏😄

Hi - yes, they are false teachers. They are Word-Faith. Please see the book entitled God Doesn't Whisper by Jim Osman on hearing the voice of God. It is superb.

repent means to turn from!!! something your choosing to do. its a choice. god repented from doing harm to isreal get it? works is doing something physical not mental. repenting from sin is choosing not to break gods law. you can choose not to sin. we choose to live Holy.

Neville Goddard was right about Imagination being God in man, outside churches are made with hands for sons of man (first adam) looking and waiting for what's in them Luke 17:20And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, w)hen the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation: 21Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you. (second Adam) wakes in you not seen by Saul looking outside before he became Paul who woke inside himself. Typical theology is with nothing new under the sun that's repeated. You just don't know who you are yet.

We are NOT blessed to have a so-called man of God spending his whole life criticing other Christians. Beware - don't jump onto his band wagon ! It's NOT going where you want to go. Thinking of how man people listen to and are helped by many preachers, and then Justin comes in the totally tears down anything God has used to draw these people to him by criticising the preachers - so many. Read this scripture written by St Paul; this is what Justin is doing : Romans 14:12,13: So then everyone of us shall give an account of himself to God. Let us not therefore judge one another anymore; but judge this rather, that no man put a stumbling block or occasion to fall in his brother's way. Also: Matthew 7:1-5 “Do not judge so that you will not be judged. 2 For in the way you judge, you will be judged; and [a]by your standard of measure, it will be measured to you. 3 Why do you look at the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? 4 Or how [b]can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ and behold, the log is in your own eye? 5 You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother’s eye

Peters is a Calvinite. He believes that he was saved before he was born, so it matters little if you repent and believe at all! Calvinism is never consistent with their own beliefs!!!

Justin Peters has so many misinterpretations of the scriptures and of the Christian life here. I don't have time tell the many ways I don't mean by that.
