My uncle works at Hyundai/genesis and sold my neighbor a g70 3.3t rwd. He lets me drive it from time to time and I can tell you this thing absolutely rips.

I just bought a 2021 Kia Stinger GT snow pearl white with red interior and couldn't be happier with the car in almost every aspect. It is seriously quick and a blast to drive. Can't wait to mod it a bit later on! I can tell that the 2021 stinger GT exhaust note is definitely louder than the previous year as they put some new exhaust and some minor engine refinements. Very happy stinger owner! This car is a beauty. I love the face lift they did, it looks gorgeous. I did look at the G70 but the stinger styling just appealed more to me.

Dude, that sounds nice. Kias and Hyundai's are the worst for cutting me off when I cruise. In my 3.3t g70. We are friends

I agree but also both cars have old style infotainment system. Needs bigger and greater design display and maybe V8 version

I don't see how this G70 comes close to the CLA 45 at all. The 45 is much faster and the interior design is much more luxurious. The infotainment and digital gauge cluster in the 45 is also on another level.

CLA 45 0-60 is 4.0. G70 3.3t is 4.4, 4.3. CLA 45 has a better infotainment, for sure. But if you haven't been inside a G70 to compare the interiors, I'd encourage you to do so. The interior is stunning. The top G70 trim is about $52K. CLA 45 starts at $54K, and a comparative trim to the G70 features is roughly 13-15K more. So for those shopping this price-vs-performance, the G70 3.3t Sport is an excellent value proposition. If you wanna spend +13K to gain 0.3 0-60, feel free. But, I 100% agree that the digital cluster and infotainment system in the CLA is night and day better than the G70.

@@kurtanderson6139 I did test drive a G70. Impressive for Hyundai yes, and definitely better than the Japanese cars as well. However, it doesn't feel as modern nor is it as luxurious in terms of design. I'm not sure about the actually quality of the materials so I can't speak on that. Don't get me wrong, I think Hyundai has come a long way, and it's a testament to how good they are now that they even get compared to the Germans at all. Yet, I still don't think they are quite there yet, especially that they are also now raising the costs of their vehicles as well.

More than anything I was surprised this 3.3T felt just as fast as that CLA 45 AMG in a straight line.. crazy times we live in haha

@@RoadsUntraveled It's been a somewhat common issue with G70s and Stingers. The Euro spec pads don't do it.

Can we talk about the fine Hyundai/Kia/Genesis got from NHTSA?? LoL. Why would you willingly buy a car from a company that sold cars with known engine defect?? They sold defects on purpose!! This is a company that does beta testing on consumers. I value my life, I’m not trying to have a engine failure on the high way. No thanks. I’ll take my money else where.

How does this compare to diesel gate (all the German makers)? Seat belt gate (Toyota)? Airbag gate (every car with a Takata airbag)? All makers have big issues over time. What matters is how the company handles it and supports customers. My understanding is Hyundai had a pretty liberal policy for replacing those engines. "Beta testing" on consumers is wholly inaccurate, and does not reflect the reality of the global scale of automotive manufacturing. I agree that Hyundai could've/should've handled it better out of the gate. But long term, such instances of product support can actually *increase* customer loyalty based on how the automaker works with their dealer network and customers on such issues.
