It's been a long time since a garage door mechanism was wired to work with the Harley door opener. I think they have a bunch of them at HQ to get rid of. Also, no more Sirius/XM unless you want to cough up $400 for the "option". Second rider headset is now an option, as well. Really? Options on the top of the line bike? Anyway, I ride mine in comfort. Best seat ever. AND you get a CB radio!

Good points. I’m gonna pin your comment. Yes no XM Sirius radio and only one headset. Yes you get the CB radio

That is mind blowing that Harley decided not to include Sirius and only 1 headset. Idk what someone would do with 1 headset. 🤷🏿‍♂️ that would force one to buy the other headset. Hopefully Harley will include them again in the 2021 bikes 🤷🏿‍♂️

I really appreciate what you guys do Matt and I don’t disparage anyone making a living and or believing in their products but in today’s economy with everything being overpriced I don’t see how the MoCo is justifying their shrinking market share vs prices stance. I bought my 1st H-D at 17 and I’m 58 now, I’ve never bought one off the showroom floor because it has never made sense to me in a practical way. I bought a 2019 FLHT this past December that had a little over 2k miles on it for $13,500 from a Honda dealer in Fl and I live in deep East Tx. The bike had the service work done by the initial owner and is sweet. I want the MoCo to survive and thrive man I just don’t want another AMF period or worse and it’s looking more and more like the “Nose In The Air “ attitude in the boardroom is driving it straight down that path. I really hope someone from the “Family’s” wakes up and takes control before it’s too late. Nice bike.
@MattLaidlaw
@MattLaidlaw 4 жыл бұрын
I share your enthusiasm and love for the brand. Just curious, what makes you think the members of the board have their noses in the air? Prices are what they are because of the product you get. The quality far exceeds that of the competitors which is why people love HDs and buy them. Take that away and lower the price and it’s no longer a H-D.

Great job guys. I have the ‘20 CVO Ultra in blue. Love it! I live in the PACNW and wouldn’t have a bike without the lowers. Help keep feet and lower legs dry and warmer in the winter. Yes, we ride year round. I’m 5’8 and at first tip toeing the bike was a little scary. A cheaper fix rather than lower shocks is put lug soles on your boots. Adds just the right amount so now I’m almost flat footed at most stops plus gives you some more gripping power on wet surfaces. I had a detachable tour pack on my 15 Ultra and what a PIA getting it on and off. I bought the Ultra for the comfort on long trips and the storage. I think the detachable is wasted money. It has more power than I need but, I still did a stage 1. Big thumbs up on that. It’s a wonderful daily ride, whether a bunch of stops or just out to lunch and back absolutely no complaints. First long ride will be in May to Medford. About 1200 miles over 4 days. Looking forward to it.

My dad's buddy went from northeast Ohio to southern California and back in a week on an iron head sportster in 1974. He was a die hard and the kind that could fix anything on a bike. He was a machinist and a great mechanic that just loves to ride. Motorcycles have come a long way especially the touring bikes. In the 70s and 80s custom dynas and sportsters were in and the electra glide was an old man's bike. Now these guys are in their 70s and riding heritage softails and road kings if they are still able.

Nice review. I have a 2018 CVO Limited that I use for a daily driver and live less than 10 miles from work. Ride it to dinner, grocery store, hardware store, any other place nearby when I get a chance. Do to work it will be years before I will be able to take long trips so all my riding is around town and I'm very happy with it. I did put the removable your pack, cam, tuner and slip-ons. I use the headed seats and grips regularly in the mornings and nights coming to and from work, wouldn't want a bike without them now. I agree that it would look better with extended bags but with the lean angle this bike is capable of I'm not sure they wouldn't drag before the floorboards. I also wish it came with stage 2 speakers but I am a music guy so that's important to me, I have my iPod on before I leave every day. Even though this is the first Harley I've bought it doesn't feel tall to me, I'm 5'-10" and wear boots with heals and stand flat footed with my knees bent and plenty of stability unless I'm on a steep sideways incline. Not sure about the extra seat pad on the newer ones, looks like it may push you to far forward, if anything sometimes I wish the controls were slightly forward from how I sit now. Well anyway I love mine and haven't regretted my choice one bit.

If your not comfortable tippy toeing this bike, DONT change the shocks & DONT change the seat! Just buy a new set of riding boots with a 1 or 2” higher heal ! This way you don’t erode the ride comfort. Besides, you probably need a new pair of boots anyhow ! Just my 2 cents.

@@MarkR973 I couldn't agree more. I'm not hater either, I own '13 Road King. When I purchased my bike I had to put 6000$ in it right off the floor just to be able to ride it! It shouldn't be like this, not when you pay 30000$ for a motorcycle. When you buy a Mercedes or Cadillac you don't get no halogen lights,no vinyl seats or crappy suspension. No way! You get everything premium cause you're buying a premium brand and your paying premium price so everything it's gotta be premium!

Harley had to find a way to make a water cooled engine look good instead of putting a Peterbilt radiator on the front and calling it good.

I finally get in the financial position to buy a high end bike but the way Harley is doing things I think I will wait or spend the money other places. Delete here..delete there on a CVO.. no Sirius and one headset..makes me wonder what has been cheapened or left out that is not visible..Just my feelings and I am sure they will sell just fine..just not from me

At ~8:45.... he’s reluctant to take a limited out of the garage for a quick ride around town... to a bar or whatever..... WTF..... that’s exactly when I’d want to show my bike off.... if parking lots scare you.... take a lesson or watch videos on slow speed maneuvers.... then go pick up chicks!

I kept falling asleep watching this video. This year's CVO paint job are just sooooo boring. Better luck next year.

Well, you could wear high-viz safety orange and yellow. It’s a motorcycle. If you want optimal safety don’t ride one.
