Thank you for all the messages regarding this to be done. I apologize for taking so long but sometimes life happens. However, I didn't forget all of you asking to see this.
This video is my impressions of the Hightower versus the new Ibis Ripmo. In this video, I'll tell you all the good and the bad about both and I can do this honestly because I own these without any sponsorship so I can authentic about what my experience with these bikes.
The Hightower is 140mm of rear travel and the Ripmo is 147mm of rear travel. Both have clearance to handle 2.5 rear tires.
The Hightower has a flip chip to change the geometry a little here and there. The Hightower comes standard with a 150mm fork, the Ripmo with a 160mm fork.
Both are amazing bikes and with either one, you can't go wrong. Which one will keep? Which one will you choose?
Santa Cruz build kits on the Hightower are here:

Also, Ibis just now announced that the Ripmo will be made available with a coil shock and the amazing DVO Topaz air 3, which I highly recommend.
