Wow...my Yamaha R3 topped out at 205 km/ph. Admittedly, I weigh all of 44 kgs. Probably didn't notice I was on it!!

This one is limited in power and torque. Your weight helps a lot as 205 kmh on a R3 is really fast!

@@MotoSnaxGot a massive wobble, mate! I've clocked117,300 kilometres on her in just over 4 years. No engine rebuild at all. I also track her. What a gun bike she is. Will keep her forever but looking at a Kawasaki Z900 as a 2nd bike.

Oh my! You have put some serious miles (or kilometers actually) on it! Great to hear it never needed a rebuild. Seems to me those engines are bulletproof. Z900 is a great bike too not sure if the seat is kind of wide which could be a problem if you are not that tall.

Less weight, smooth gearbox, lighter clutch. Those are the biggest changes if you own an ER6.

In Asia etc. more people ride motorcycles. In Europe a lot of people are too afraid to ride and are fine by driving a car or just use trains and buses. Next to that I also use tags in Asian languages. :) Riding a motorcycle in Europe is a niche. Riding A1 or A2 bikes is a niche in a niche.

Well if you watched the first few seconds of the video you have read that this one is restricted and not full power. But even restricted it has WAY more torque than a Ninja 300. The 300 will feel like a moped when opening throttle just because the 650 has more torque.

Perhaps I weigh more, perhaps you had stronger wind in the back. Perhaps your tank was almost empty.. who knows? There is nothing wrong with this bike.

This restriction is a crime! We dont have this limits down here and is another bike... I could almost feel It "heavy" while you were accelerating.

Europe wants to have less deaths so they designed these restricted bikes. It is not that bad though, they are still pretty fast except on the freeway you notice it is slower.

@@MotoSnax Makes sense the full HP bike would be able to do about 203 km/h or 126 mph. It requires a percentage increase in HP equal to the square of the increase in speed. So to go from 171 to 203 is about a 1.19x factor in speed, requiring about a 1.416x HP factor in terms of HP. The bike is said to make about 68 crank HP (source: www.webbikeworld.com/2020-kawasaki-z650-abs-model-overview/). 68 vs. 48 in restricted mode is a 1.417x increase. So the math works out. 171 in 48 crank HP restricted mode, 203 in 68 HP unrestricted mode.

Why ur country got only 48hp for 650cc? My country in asian got (69.7hp and 65.7nm) ur bike And my bike got lot of different power of this bike.. my bike got top speed 201km/h and for the gps around 190++

We got both versions. In Europe there is also a law for younger riders to start with 48 hp (and even a license for 125cc if you are 18 years old). So we have the restricted Z650 and full power Z650.

No, this is a restricted Z650. Check the tachometer. The Z400 has a different red zone.

How tall are you and how did you get on with the bike due to its low seat height. I’m 5ft 10 would this be too cramped ?

You can also fit foot peg lowering blocks like I did from Motowerks. These lower the pegs but about 1" and really help. Still heaps of ground clearance.

Waar zou bij deze A2 ergens de beperking liggen? zoals ecu zodat je niet hoog in toeren kan of voorbeeld dat je maar 70% gas kan gebruiken?

Waarschijnlijk ECU en iets met de inlaat. Binnendoor merk je er niet zoveel van (of je moet echt het gas goed opendraaien), pas als je de snelweg op gaat merk je dat ie geknepen is. Fijne mtoor voor A2!

I wonder if it was restricted properly. Or Yamaha changed a lot. Last time I rode the MT07 was in 2015. It was not that fast as 35kW. :)

A2? You might weigh less than me. I think the unrestricted top speed of the Z650 is 199 km/h. So it isn't that much slower with A2 restriction.

Correct, 48 hp for A2 license. A1 license = 11kW (15 hp) and max 125cc. The normal A license is full power. I have A, can ride anything but riding these restricted models give me the opportunity to sometimes have the first video on KZfaq with a restricted top speed or 0-100. Pretty cool to sometimes have the first video in the world with a certain restricted motorcycle.
