4 жыл бұрын👋 This is a new 2020 Kia Stinger GT1! This is Kia's take on a luxurious performance oriented sedan that offers both AWD and RWD! It comes with a twin turbo V6 with an 8 speed automatic and has a lot of power to offer! The interior is very nice with premium materials and the red leather seats look amazing! It's comfortable to drive and has plenty of room on the inside as well. The exterior of the 2020 KIA Stinger GT has great lines and the wheels on this one look unique with the 5 Y spoke design. It has functional vents to help cool the engine along performance brakes to help it on the roads!

Hands down excellent review Brian 🙂, the Stinger you reviewed is absolutely impressive, wow 😮. It's so wild that the GT2 is a Kia and so versatile for a car w/ a fastback design, I love the hefty key fob, looks like there's remote start. Also, I absolutely love that you and Mike demonstrate remote starts on key fobs, thank you 🙂. So,2020 Land Rover Defender 110 next?

8:30 They sell an insert for the door handles that looks really nice and gives it a really high end look instead of the black insert that comes from the factory. Lots of great add ons for the Stinger that don’t cost an arm and a leg.

The Stinger GT2 is just such a fun car to drive. The car comes alive in sport mode. However, in ECO mode it uses a nifty “coasting” feature to increase fuel economy dramatically while still retaining adequate power. The Stinger GT2 is definitely the best value in sport sedans at the moment. The lease rebates are really strong for these cars right now.

I have some really simple modifications that I have done to my 2019 Stinger GT2 that really make it look and feel more upscale. I switched out ALL of the Kia badges for the KDM “E” badges. It looks much better like that. I also have aluminum shift paddles extenders that make manual shifting much better. I also have some extra “Stinger” text badges on the door sills and dash that look great. I only paid about $300 for everything so not too much money for a much better look.

It's ironic that you reviewed this car. Coming home just had one try to race my Supra. Nowhere close! But I was impressed at how it sounded and looked. It was flat grey w/tinted windows. Pretty sharp. Kinda reminded me of my old SHO. Sedan sleeper for sure!

9:30 You can also just wait about 3 seconds and the trunk will automatically open if it is configured properly. It is a really great feature for when you have your hands full of groceries.

Great review, and I understand why some people go for the AWD versions in snowy climates...But why does it seem like almost every Stinger GT, G70, & G80 sport with the 3.3L TT V6 is reviewed in the heavier AWD versions all over youtube? Even with the lighter RWD versions, these cars are still so heavy that they barely slide the rear wheels while taking off at WOT from a stop... Especially when equipped with a limited slip differential. The RWD is almost 200 pounds lighter than the AWD. There's less gap in between the wheelwells. It handles and stops shorter than the AWD because of less weight. The driving dynamics are better in a RWD car versus an AWD car. The RWD versions are more fun to drive...Last but not least, the RWD versions are faster than the AWD even from 0-60 mph in most cases. By the time 30-40 mph comes up, the RWD can make up the slight wheel spin at launch, and can start walking by the AWD version, and can continue to keep pulling ahead. With a full tank of gas, along with some great winter rubber like Bridgestone Blizzack WS80 tires on a RWD Stinger GT with an LSD, I bet that RWD version would go nearly as well in the snow as an AWD Stinger GT with all season tires on it... - I wouldn't be surprised. Anyway, thanks for the review! I really enjoyed it 🍻 -Chris

Does the 2020 GT2 model have a “manual shift” mode? I can just use the paddles to engage manual mode on my 2019 GT2. I actually don’t think my 2019 GT2 has a manual mode on the shift lever. Is that new?

Not too sure compared to 2019. But looks like you just hit the paddle to go into manual mode

The shift knob on the GT2 is a nicer-looking one but it does not allow you to go into true manual mode. The transmission will take over after you don't touch the paddles for a minute. The "uglier" T-shaped knob found on lower trim models can be moved into a position that keeps the transmission from overiding and shifting for you. I'm sure it will take over shifting if it hits the Rev limiter, as a precaution.

It would be super cool if KIA made a 2 door sports car. The Genesis coupe was a great car back in the day, and KIA was close to making their own version of that. But that concept turned into this Stinger lol. So maybe one day they'll make a Stinger 2 door

My Ceramic Silver GT2 with red seats has GT on the headrests. I don’t see them here on the black interior. Yes, it’s totally on par with the BMW 430i and beats a Porsche Panamera and Mustang GT450 0-60 and quarter mile. You can buy one for much less than 54k. I bought mine last year for 50k OTD.

Hi, did you get it 50k out the door with gap insurance and all the other good stuff? 8y/125kwarranty 5 year 75k, wheels, rims insured etc? Just wrecked my gt awd line 2020, luckily gap and insurance will cover it and im debating upgrading to the gt2. It will be my daily driver. In just a week I put over 1200 miles and it was a blast!! Amazing vehicle! Wish they had the red exterior and red interior option

Supra all day lol. Stinger is a fun 4 door car. But the flat handling and way more power in the Supra smoke it. Supra is so much smaller

I'd like honest info from ppl who have actually owned kia stingers. Is maintenance expenses, is it dependable, reliable,. Can one get up and go in a disaster... the dependable and reliable SUVs like Toyota are so expensive even used but I have ran into some of these that are a good price range although they are used what is their resale value and yes I could look it up on Google but I'd rather hear from actual owners if that makes sense..

has the noises quality control improved? i have been told that in earlier models a lot poor quality knobs and controls, also much noise sounds throughout the interior........rattles and squeaks.......

I'm pretty sure they are reliable. I never had issues with my Genesis coupe for 4 years. And KIA backs these cars for 100k miles

If I wanted a fast, fun, spacious, practical four door for around $50k, this would be my choice no question. Wouldn’t even think twice about it. Such a great package and SO much car for the money, especially if brand prestige isn’t important to you. Hope this does well (as well as it reasonably can lol) for Kia.

You definitely get a ton of car for the money! Seems very on par with an Audi or BMW, but $20-$30k cheaper. Felt very premium!

So may people think it's a bad car just because it's a KIA. But I think KIA has come a long way over the years . And the stinger is a awesome looking car a great value for money . I wouldn't mind driving a stinger as a daily, alot more crapper cars out there. Great review ⭐⭐ @fgx6t

I can definitely see inspiration from the Euro cars in the Stinger. Nice to be able to get all that for a fraction of the price. Stinger was a lot of fun!

Lol dude u never launched it :( traction button hold until stability n tractions off...foot on brake smash that gas peddle n watch the smile it puts on ya face ! I have a g70 3.3t basically samething but id have to say id blow ya supra off the line and all the way through the 1/4 mile...a jb4 with these motors with intakes u wont catch em ☺️ !

This is a brand new vehicle so launching isn't something to do, also it has to pass the certain mileage for that to work.
