You know I feel really bad about the Irishman. But Martin Scorsese literally got a standing ovation without winning. So like I’m sad and happy lol.

Parasite was a great film and deserved all of the awards it received.

I am so glad I could witness history! Parasite broke the barrier for international films tonight! I wasn't expecting the Oscars to give it anything beyond International Film, but for it to get Original Screenplay, Best Director, and Best Picture is a miracle I am proud to witness. No other film from 2019 deserved this amount of recognition more than Parasite!

Great video, Austin Oscars were overall satysfying this year if not a tad bit predictable. It's still frustrating that many of the A24 movies got largely ignored (Dafoe for best actor, Sandler for best actor, and The Lighthouse/Midsommar for best pic). For Supporting Actor while I would've gone for either Pecsi or Pacino, Pitt is also a great choice so am not complaining. It's also good to see some Parasite getting and it making history.

According to Wikipedia, Palme d'Or and Academy Award for Best Picture winners like Marty (1955), The Lost Weekend (1945), all won Director, Screenplay and an Acting award (except for Parasite) in the Oscars. This indicators were the key in Parasite's winning.

Loved Parasite. Totally deserved this award, in my opinion. Nearly flipped my lid when it was announced. Also, I know I've mentioned this on several videos before, but 2 of the animated shorts, Kitbull and Hair Love, are free on KZfaq right now (Kibull on Disney's main page, and Hair Love on Sony's main page). You can watch both of them within 15 minutes. Kitbull is 8 minutes long, and hair Love is 6 minutes long.

I knew all the winners before I watched this video, but I still watched the entire thing, and I loved your reactions! Some things you said gave me chills, just like these movies did. I have watched 5 of the Best Picture nominees this far, 4 of which were last week, but I'm watching "Parasite" this evening, and hopefully the remaining 3 soon as well. I've loved all of them, and even "Marriage Story", which was my least favorite Best Picture nominee that I've watched this far, was a solid 9/10 for me. Seeing Joaquin Phoenix win for "Joker" was probably the best part, even though Adam Driver also was really great in "Marriage Story". "Toy Story 4" was my favorite animated movie of last year, and "Klaus" wasn't far behind, so I was in the same boat as you there. I'm glad "Little Women" won Best Costume Design, because I loved that movie, and I'm really happy it won something. I've seen the movies that Saoirse Ronan, Scarlett Johansson, Laura Dern and Florence Pugh got nominated for, and from what I know, they all deserved their nominations, at least. I wish "Avengers: Endgame" had been nominated for Best Score, but except for that, there weren't any major snubs for me. I've watched all the movies that got nominated for Best Score, and I think "Joker" deserved the award. I didn't notice the music too much in "Little Women" and "Marriage Story", so I think one of them could have been exchanged for Endgame, even though none of them were undeserving of their nomination, in my opinion. That is just my major thoughts. I'm glad "1917" won quite a few awards, because that was my favorite movie of last year, at least before seeing "Parasite" and 3 of the other "Best Picture" nominees. I can't wait to watch "Parasite" in just under 5 hours!

Haven't seen Parasite but glad it won. I need to check it out. Overall the best picture category to me was amazing. Personal favorites were Hollywood and 1917.

As much as the Oscars ceremony itself was a little "huh?" at a couple points ( *cough* Eminem *cough* ) I have to say, I don't think there was a single solitary win that I was disappointed with :D Freaking LOVE Parasite- I won't say it's necessarily "my favorite movie ever" on a personal level, but it really is insanely impressive how truly unique and unpredictable it was! For the creativity and masterful storytelling alone, it deserved every win. Also, Joaquin's speech was wonderful in my book, and as someone who fell down a bit of a River Phoenix rabbit hole a few years back and came to really adore who he was both as an actor and person, Joaquin reciting his "run to the rescue with love, and peace will follow" quote REALLY got me

Although I have never seen Parasite (and I now fully intend to watch it), I am very proud of the achievements this film earned on display here especially for Best Picture. This is the first foreign language film to win best picture and I'm glad it was this film.
