I have a Taycan 4S on order and had a Taycan demo for 2 days. Amazing performance great fun. However I drove 90 miles to return it to the dealer in heavy traffic, took nearly 3 hours and felt tired dropping it off Got back in my Panamera did the journey home and felt relaxed on arrival. Your correct about the comfort, the Bose, the luxury. The Panamera feels like a luxury sporty limo. As a daily occasional long distance drive Panamera all the way. As a toy the Taycan.

Great to see you finally posted it. I know you mentioned it to me that you were working on it as I originally wanted to buy a Panamera Turbo S Hybrid in 2021 but after testing and experiencing a Taycan I feel the Taycan Turbo S is def a great choice alternative. I would happily compare choosing in 2021 to buy either a Taycan Turbo S (Daily) and a 991 GT3 (For Weekending/track) versus going for a 992 Turbo S Cabrio (weekender and daily mix) with a Taycan 4S or used Panamera Turbo S e hybrid (Regular Daily). So many choices 😭🤣

I really love your videos. regardless of all other reviews, I would always go to yours because I really enjoy your selection of car comparison. it is unique and not the usual 'apple to apple'. just like how many people won't see the basis for comparison between Taycan and Panamera as it's '2 diff cars, petrol and electric' but to a consumer like me, it actually is a question on my mind - I want a porsche and budget is around there but not strictly there. I want a sedan and past a performance standard doens't matter to me. this is exactly the same as the comparison between macan and cayenne coupe. most people would say diff size diff budget, but yours was the only video comparison that answered my question!

Nice review, you only didn’t mention the practicality differences: 5th door/hatch, 5th seat(possibility)and extra rear room. My biggest problem with the taycan is that it has no hatch, because my Labrador travels very comfortably in the luggage compartment of the Panamera while the interior remains clean and you can go on a 4 person + dog trip🐶. The panamera is both a luxury sportslimousine and a family car, whilst the taycan is definitely a smaller and less practical car. Anyway thank you for doing the first comparison between the 2 models that I know of.

Thanks for the review. I almost considered switching my Panamera out for the Taycan. Not sure I will though. I get motion sickness in the Tesla so I’m guessing it will be the same experience with the Taycan, and not sure I want to give up the V8 (also a sucker for the sound lol) or the more luxurious feel.

Matt Farah describes the Taycan as a Cayman with infinite torque range so yes, I agree with you when you say the Taycan is nimbler and feels more like a sports car, that's what I'm buying!(order fulfillment times are 6-9 months with this pandemic!!!)

Finally has someone has done a direct comparison! Even though I just loooove the Panamera (my favourite modern Porsche) the Taycan will surely kill the Panamera, especially when the Cross Turismo has arrived. The very little customer base that needs the range will most likely not be able to support the product.

Thank You for the review. It was informative. And I liked how you pointed out some nuances between the two vehicles, and your personal opinions. However, you must have not drove the Turbo S long? Cause, the range usually increases the longer you drive it on highways? You see, on highways-at legal speeds (doesn't matter, as long as it had the larger battery) it would give you 300 miles range. The smaller battery would give you around 280. Obviously, if you drove faster, that would give it less range (about the 250 you mentioned). If you drove it around 90 mph, then you would average it's EPA. But yes, it's still an electric vehicle with limited charging stations, and time vs gas. So, I get it. 3:50 There are multiple wheel options, including Summer tires. Can't knock a vehicle that was purposely ordered with Winter/All-season tires. Of course you could feel it; you're driving on a nice, sunny day! ;)

Great and "accurate" video mate, I m subscribing;). Funny enough to say that I have tried the Taycan GTS Sport Turismo and the Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid. Agree that the Taycan is much sporty and connected. Don't feel the weight, and love that sport sound they have developed. It feel very special to drive this car, from an handling, power and design perspective. I put a lot of hope on the Panamera by getting the best of the 2 world. However, felt very disappointed. Even in Sport Plus you don't hear any noice of the V8. No connection with the engin. Even when you downshift with high rev you still don't hear the engine. Dame! there is a bloody F**K V8 4.0L in there. Also you feel more the weight of the car and the responses is slower. Definitely feels more like an old man luxury car. One thing sure is that the the interior design of the Panamera looks way better than the Taycan. Overall, I would then definitely buy the Tacan (but Turbo version) than the Panamera.

Electric cars needs more infrastructure and time with battery technology it’s the future, it will be a sad day the petrol engine dies due to legislation and government law but future keeps going forwards and electrification will take over.... ⚡️

Porsche biggest disappointment ever in its history is the Taycan. Over promised and under delivered. Then refuse to admit it. Been a Porsche car owner for 20 years from GT2 RS, Cayenne, and Macan..own them all. Had a Taycan Turbo S on order but cancelled it and got my wife a Tesla Model X instead.
