Complete ButtKicker Setup Guide for MSFS: Connect and Install Hardware and Software! Learn all the essential steps to set up your Buttkicker for an immersive flight simulation experience in Microsoft Flight Simulator. Follow this comprehensive guide to properly connect the hardware components and install the necessary software for optimal audio output. In this episode i will not be going over any of my setting they will be in part 3 of this series along with some tips and trick and a pro and con list. I will also be checking out the sim haptics software compared to the buttkicker default software . This series is more of a 1st hand review series that will give you the perspective of what a new user to the buttkicker can experience in the setup process. This is by no means a complete tutorial however i do go over some good tips and show the complete setup ( The whole 9 yards LOL). NO WAY...good to put a face to the voice lol. I have been watching your channel for years. I ordered a Buttkicker Gamer plus and the best version of the software today from Buttkicker. I can't wait, I bet it makes VR so much better.

Hey thank you for the comment . Just an FYI the simhaptics software is much better with buttkicker since I have been testing. Part 3 will have a full guide on both pieces of software . You can try simhaptics free for days.

Thanks for the video, always love the way your enthusiasm comes through. One question I have I have and use transducers for racing but would love to use them on msfs 2020. Do you know if this software will work with transducers.

Yes the buttkicker is a transducer. Thanks for the comment . So maybe you're asking, if the amplifier for butt kicker will power transducers? Yes, it will.

Yes for sure I also use the simhaptics software wich I will be going over in part 3. That makes it much better .

It’s wired that msfs2020 don’t react to none of my software I use for the Buttkicker. But other game do!? Any ideas?

Did you update your hapticonnect software to the latest version? In the software click on msfs are all of the sliders on?

Hi, I fly mainly in VR with Pimax Crystal. I have HFS HF8 Next Level Racing Haptic Feedback System seat. My experience is that the vibrations are picked up in the headset, making the eyes vibrating with the seat vibrations. This makes HF8 seat unusable with Pimax Crystal. I have a few question that might be of interest. 1)What is your experience Pimax Crystal with vibrating seats such as ButtKicker and/or HF8? 2)Is ButtKicker so different of HFS seat that its bring an extra realism to flight experience? Tks.

Thanks for the question.. ok for the 1st question I do not have the hf8 as I felt that the realism aspect would not be as life like as the buttkicker. Let me explain my thinking. In a real aircraft the vibrations felt travel through the frame of the aircraft. The seat in the cockpit is bolted to the frame of the plane allowing the vibrations to be transferred to the seat. Now with this thinking I feel that using the hf8 would not be as real due to the vibration motors activating in different sections of the pad which is not how you would feel the haptics in a real plane . Not to mention I have an expensiveish chair and last thing I want to to place a pad over my comfy chair that I will now probably be able to feel all the motors in the pads of the seat pad Taking away from the comfort of my seat. Also the transducer of the buttkicker is huge allowing you to feel depth in the clunks that are felt wich you cannot replicate with a tiny motor in a haptic pad. As for vibrations being seen in the hmd . I also have a crystal and the vibrations I feel don't play a big factor. Yes I can see them sometimes but I can also only imagine that this is also how it would feel in the real aircraft . I mostly fly ga. But the vibrations that I see "sometimes" is due to high turbulence or something really causing some deep vibrations . But like I said it's not a big issue because it is not a constant thing.

@@2020fsersThank you for your time detailing this approach. I have adjust the OpenXR Over-prediction reduction to -59%. It helped but did not eliminate per se the vibrations in the headset. Looking forward part3 of your experience. Tks again.

@Guerbou If for some reason, the overprediction in my open XR tool kit doesn't even work. No matter what you said it on, it's the same percentage..

@@2020fsers Hi, For my seat vibration sets I use ButtKicker HaptiConnect and HFS Next Level Racing. I found that within the headset the view was kind of blur caused by the vibrations. I disengaged the HFS upper back seat vibrators but kept only the seat and lower back seat activated. I chose also to have only the engine, speed brake and stall vibration on the HFS. I have tune these three to a level that will not produce a visual vibration in the headset. The other actions are all concentrated to the buttkicker. After some tuning, this work well for me. Hope this help. Cheers.

Hi just came across your video . Ive got an older Buttkicker BKA 130C. I can heat the sound from the speaker output but no vibration from the Buttkicker. Ive tried the Realtek output and the headphone jack on the PC but to no avail. I can feel it vibrate when I press the volume up and down button on the amplifier so it is working. But on the hapticonnect it shows the output configuration not configured. Currently set to edifier speakers. Any suggestions ? Thanks. Great channel by the way.

Unfortunately not. I only have the option of red and black cables to connect to pc somewhere. No other connections are fitted. Thanks for replying.@@2020fsers

Ok you need to select in the hapticonnect the audio splitter at the top .

Hi Yes under audio splitter the input is Buttkicker input( Buttkicker Virtual Audio Device) my output are my edifier speakers. No other sound comes from any other option. Test works fine with sound but no vibration. But the output configuration from the Game Connect menu still shows "configure". Thanks. Sent a ticket to Buttkickers.

I’ve been using the buttkicker for about 6 months now and it has added a lot to my msfs experience. It can be a bit overpowering if you have the volume set too high. I also use the rkAPPS Simhaptic software add on which gives you a much better range of fine tuning to suit your preference.

@user-jp3co7ec6h the volume should be marked power lol. Yes I am using simhaptics as well and much better. I'm going over all that in part 3 . I need a little more time to test things before that video.
