Brilliant job thanks! I am concerned that their isn't a bearing at the front panel of the yoke axis. Do you know about the borderline broken turtlebeach yoke where many including myself struggled with fine pitch axis control because it doesn't have a bearing there either? I installed an after market bearing at that front panel position to help fix it.

Thank you . Honestly due to the thickness of the shaft and the big bearings and blocks that are on the inside that I showed that shaft does not really Bend at all it's very heavy duty. I have checked out a competitor's video about binding issues due to the front bearing or bushing that they're using in theirs and it causes a lot of problems but the inside of their unit is nowhere near as beefed up as this thing is

I have my monitor set at 60 hz refresh rate (it can go to 144 but I know with my set up that would not be realistic) and also cap it at 60 hz in Riva. I then set the Auto FPS Target PC FPS for 40 and it runs very well. Thanks for your input. Garry

This has been the best tutorial for performance in MSFS I’ve ever seen. I’ve learned more in this compared to every video I’ve seen! One thing for me is that I limit my frames to 30fps cause i honestly don’t need 60fps for this game. Also it runs my my GPU hot for obvious reasons and it heats my room up quite a bit lol so for me my GPU is in the 25ms range since I’m limiting BUT I used to not get a solid 30 fps at times but now it seems way more stable. The screen resolution thing really helped me out cause I could never understand the science behind it.

Great work! However - as others have pointed out - GSync enabled gives horrendous input lag, at least on my machine (4090 7800X3D LG42 4K HDR 120hz monitor). I tried disabling GSync altogether, and disabling it for MSFS and Upscale, but still the lag was insane when enabling RTSS. Since I’m an HDR user as well as a heavy X-Plane user, I’ve dug around for methods to improve HDR in X-Plane (as it doesn’t support HDR in the true sense), and landed on SpesialK, which also features a FrameRateLimiter, and a lot of customizable controls to tweak stuff in order to reduce latency. Long story short: Disabling GSync via SpecialK + limit FPS to half refresh rate -1 did the trick! Seems like GSync sets the refresh rate to the sim output - in my case 59 FPS - regardless of what the upscale / frame gen provides, which I suppose is to be expected. Disabling all DLSS features via SpecialK also reduces latency.

I just wanted to say BIG Thank You dude! You saved my unit! THR#3 Reverser failed in my case. Although I kinda did some things differently. One black wire broke right where they all "bend". So I soldered it, and applied some hot glue in that area so they move much less now. Also applied hot glue in the same spot for all other throttles. I also removed those tiny zip ties because I bet THEY are the reason why these wires tend to bend so tightly. I'm so glad everything works fine now <3

I want it extremely thank you for this KZfaq video. I have been dealing with so many problems trying to get the best optimization and understanding the FPS counter in the top right corner. I'm still using an old 3900x ryzen and a 6750 XT graphics card. I do have it hooked to a 4K TV and my vram has always seemed to be just pegged out at 12 gigs or higher never crashed but it just stuttered so much. I'm now getting 70 FPS crystal clear imaging. Decent detail far as distance wise and running on the 4K and it barely scratches over 8000 vram. The game is so much more enjoyable to fly. Always been a big aviation person so this makes it so much more enjoyable now. Granted I tried it out in the Houston area away from everything. I still got to try it in a highly developed City, but I feel like there shouldn't be any issue just because I have so much. Headroom to take in all the details. Thank you

Do not buy this if you like all the knowledge Riva Tuner Provides.... Do not buy this if you have multiple monitors for you lose your cursor sometimes on main until you click on another monitor. Do not buy if you play MSFS in Windows Mode to have access to other options in your taskbar as your taskbar disappears in Auto and Aspect Ratio.... Do not follow the instructions of setting the refresh rate in Riva Tuner in GLOBAL SETTINGS.... Set it up after setting up in Riva Tuner a specific Flight Simulator Setup as well as other games.... In Riva Tuner, turn on Stealth Mode, show On Screen Display & On Screen Support in global and then set you second monitor as #1 and your gaming monitor (mine, a 55in120hz OLED) in Nvidia driver then set the second as your main monitor.... Never ever minimize the Lossless Scaling because it causes major issues.... After XBOX fixed their DRM ISSUES, the stutters are severe at times after following this video.... I suggest you just use the Nexus Mods that are free.... Only benefit to this is that this MAY and I mean MAY WORK on other games unlike the Nexus Mods..... Nexus Mods works with Riva Tuner on the monitor you are using MSFS without crasshing, none of the issues above and furthermore no stuttering.... I have even experienced crashes after clearing out all Nvidia Cache... Causes flickering of other overlays on your MSFS Monitor like FS2Crew RAAS and other FS2Crew Software I always overlay on my MSFS OLED Display

I thought I'd try it out with my 4090 and 7800x3D. I think it's best to always test these things at heavy areas so I picked the ultimate: iniBuilds KJFK with TLOD set to 400 in the PMDG 737-800 Hovering right around 29-33 FPS. If I take TLOD down to 200 I gain maybe 2 or 3 FPS, nothing drastic. I'm probably gonna stick with regular FG in DX12. Edit: scratch that! I’ve re-enabled dx12 and FG and G-sync…but! I enabled lossless scaler and holy crap it works! I was showing 154FPS at JFK. I limited to 50 fps and wow…😮
