Setting Up and Using Flightsimbuilder GNS530: A Comprehensive Guide
In this comprehensive guide, we will cover the entire setup process for the Flightsimbuilder GNS530 software and provide an in-depth review. We will also offer tips on removing the taskbar and using full screen for a more realistic flight simulation experience. In part 1 I went over the hardware review if you missed that the link is below. In part 2 i will also cover how to mount the gns 530 as the instructions were not all that great as you will see in the video. I came up with a much easier and quicker way of mounting . I also test the latency to see just how snappy it is when you hit a button or move a knob and i have to say i am impressed with the function of the unit.

Great video, I have the 530 and G1000 from flight sim builder. Really is cool. When you go into VR the knobs and buttons work great but the screen freezes. Wish they could get the screens working while in VR so you could peek under and see the updates.

Thanks for the comment ..i use mine for vr also but i dont use the screens i look at the screens in the cockpit.

That is so cool... I want one... Just need to get a gaming PC first... it aint gonna work on my XBox!!!

Yeah it is really awesome 👌 I love it . And like I was saying on Discord. You can program the knobs to do anything you want. Say for A g 1000 or something. But you gotta get A PC Dan lol

@2020fsers I have a pair of the G1000 by FSB. I have them both programmed for the 530 on the PFD and the 430 on the MFD. Did this all with Axis and Ohs. I will have the templates available to anyone who may want them.

Just curious if this has happened to anybody. I opened up the SIM yesterday to do a flight and my graphics were horrible buildings, trees, airports was like everything with set to low settings and I have them on high and it showed they were on high settings, so I don't know what's going on. This is the first time it's ever happened

Lots of bugs recently in msfs after the last sim update . I've heard all kinds of things happening with visuals. I hope this isn't a precursor to what we can expect in msfs 2024.

I've seen this a couple of times, as have some of the people I fly with regularly, both on PC and Xbox. For us, full sim restart (and hard reboot just to make sure) has always resolved the issue Not sure quite what the cause is - seems like some kind of failure state loading the scenery objects, where everything defaults to minimum LOD (quite whacky flying over a city when this happens, full of silver pyramids). On Xbox I always suspect an "Emergency out of memory" situation... but as it seems to happen from time to time on PC as well, then it may be something else - possibly a temporary server or network issue preventing the scenery objects from being downloaded 🤔... Anyhow... try Sim / PC restart when this happens, and hopefully will resolve the issue for you 🤞
