Күн бұрынHello everyone today in microsoft flight simulator I will go over a fantastic application that is probably the best free all in 1 app for msfs 2020 and it is good for VR and for monitor. The app can be found at flightsim.to the link is below. This fully integrates with p2atc, vatsim and little navmap . I first show a demo of the product and all of its features in the 1st part of the video. In the second half i will go over all of the installation and the setup process for little navmap and pilot2atc . I will also go over some tips along the way to make the startup easier by using addonlinker . I came across this app a couple days ago. Works great in VR, and the Vatsim feature is nice to have. Easy to setup. I learned some cool tips from the video.

Yes for sure and very low performance impact . I've used other apps in vr for LNM but this one by far is the best with performance . Thanks for the comment 👍 😀 vr is amazing in msfs.

Going to test this out.... This looks great and since VR Compatible with VATSIM Channels, HUGE because I like to Vatsim in VR..... If so, adios monthly fee of Navigraph because of the second sentence HUGE BENEFITS while reducing another monthly fee where you own nothing, just leasing.... Thank You for explaining this....

Wow, that’s cool! LNV VR tool has its own maps to display the sids, stars and approaches built in. Curious how it keeps it up to date without linking it to anything.

It is linked to skyvector I believe . That's why only the US has charts for now. They are trying to get chartfox to allow to link so the charts will be available for most everywhere

Hi, I've installed the LNM VR and it shows up in MSFS 2020 but it's just waiting for server connection, i've got the LNM running in the background but can't do anything with the MSFS toolbar application. Any help would be much appreciated

This application will only display charts if you have a Navigraph chart subscription, correct? Would it not just be easier to just use the Navigraph tool and do flight planning there and using their in sim tool? Am I missing something? I appreciate all you do and you are absolute beast of information to the community!!

This does not use navigraph at all. This is a separate application that uses little nav map which is free. This is for people that don't want to pay for a navigraph subscription. The other cool thing that it has is a radio feature that you can listen to local radio stations while you're flying. I think that's pretty neat.

@@2020fsers it is. I thought I saw you had all the charts in the tool. Approaches, Sids, Stars. I guess I assumed it got that info from Navigraph.

You can move it click the box to the left of the x in the top right of the app. Then it will pop out the app and you can move it off the screen to another monitor.

Once a flight plan is created in LNM, can it be loaded directly into the plane like SimBrief?

no it cannot like simbrief but what you can do is export the fpl to msfs from the file tab and then load the fpl into the world map and then when you spawn in it should be loaded into the gps.

At 15:00 you state you must go and open LNM to configure server. How is this done? Is LNM installed independently of what you've described up to this point in the video. When I launch MSFS 2020 and select the LNM icon it says "waiting to establish LNM connection server connection". How do i launch LNM independent fof MSFS to continue with configuring the server? Please advise.

Little navmap is a separate program . At the very beginning of the video I say if you're unfamiliar with little nav map. I Post a video series in the description to help you get started with little nav map.. Check out the description for the 2 videos I posted on how to get started with little navMap that will describe everything that you need to do to set it up as well As starting your first flight plan.

Depends on how heavily one relies on charts. Navigraph readily displays any chart you need for your flight plan, start to finish -- i.e., no messing around with locating the charts you need and manually loading them into a folder OR literally having to take screenshots of online sectionals or charts and then saving all of then . Further, I'd assume (possibly incorrectly) that one then has to remove everything from the apps document folder in order not to be faced with a bewildering array of charts accumulated during previous flights. If those assumptions are correct then the annual fee for Navigraph is looking pretty small by comparison. If one is at a stage where charts are not very often needed then those objections may not apply. As always, the efforts of this developer in coding incredibly complex professional-grade apps that he gives away for nothing but an optional donation are difficult to believe. For these two apps, he deserves a LARGE donation, not a trivial one.

This was by no means intended to be a comparison video. Because let's be honest. Navigraph is well polished and has a lot of features that this doesn't have. But for the average simmer, this is probably a great alternative, especially for someone who is limited on funds. Yes this developer had put lots of time in to give this away. Just another reason I love this community and yes please donate so they can keep improving . Thanks for the comment .

None that I saw . It is very low on your resources . With navigraph when I open it I always get a long pause stutter and with the lnmvr i do not get that and no fps drop with either on my system.

The panel symbol is not showing up in my toolbar. Not even in toolbar settings. Any idea what I could be doing wrong? Also tried it with the companion running.

The companion doesn't need to be running for the icon to show. Make sure the main folder is placed in your community so if you click on it it should show all the content not another single folder hope that makes sense. And second you may need to go to the toolbar and turn the icon on in the setting tool bar icon.

Are you saying your computer crashes when you launch the Companion application?. .Because the actual little nav map VR application does not have to be launched. It's open using the toolbar in the simulator.

@@2020fsers the companion is launched without any problem. My GPU systematically crashes when I open the LNM VR from the toolbar in the simulator with the MSFS message 'your GPU encountered a problem...'. Then the simulator stops and I am back in W11.

@d.p.5874 oh oh ok that is very strange . Maybe it's conflicting with another mod in your community. Have you tried to remove everything and only keep the lnmvr . And try it . If it works, then you would have to systematically put each mod back in the folder and retast until you get the ma that is causing The issue. Once you find that problem, it may be a good idea to just send the developer. A heads up on what's causing a crash if that's the problem. But that would be the first thing I would do.

It may comes from one of my other mods, but I like them all: FSR3 frame generation (that I only use from time to time, but always present in my sim), FSLTS of course, Dynamic LOD (very nice mod indeed), MSFS2020 Map Enhancer (for better ground textures & colors), last dlss dll for performance. I will remove them and check. I'll tell you. Cheers,

@@2020fsers Hi there, just an update to tell you that I gave up ...I removed all mods with poor results (and I even scared myself to have ruined my sim at a certain point in time) : after removing my mods, I was able to play the sim and open the LNMVR without GPU crash this time BUT with a sim competely frozen now with the LNMVR windows opened with the message "waiting for lnm server..." despite the fact that the companion was launched...I had to abort the sim twice to get control back on W11...Too bad ! This tool was very attractive but I gave up. Thx again anyway (I took this opportunity to update my FSR3 mod). Fly safe, Cheers !

Just got it running, it shows the plane I'm flying but no map or airports, is there a setting I've missed?

@stevenkirkpatrick2917 Yes, you need to start the companion app. I went over that in the video as well.. Once the companion app is started, it should appear in your task manager. I also go over an easy way to auto. Start the companion app using Addon Linker.

You should have the little nav map map on the application as long as you set app the settings correctly inside of little navmap . And make sure you've started the server in little nav map.

You may ask the dev to add ivao. If you take a look at the flightsim.to site he goes into detail about the charts and is trying to get chartfox.org or another site to allow them to scavenge info from . So he is working on this by himself. I have offered help to him and if others want to contribute to make it better please reach out . But im sure easy access charts will happen soon for outside the USA .

Yes it does it was designed and created specifically for v r. The name of the app is little navmap VR . And works very well and low performance impact in vr

No it isn't but you can certainly import the flight plan into little navmap . Also keep in mind that SIM brief doesn't add any departures or approaches or arrivals. Which is good because you can just import the basic flight plan into little nav. Map, and then you can add your procedures and that will all show up inside the application in the sim.

LNM allows direct import of your last generated SimBrief Dispatch, and export from LNM to a new SimBrief Dispatch ready for generating. It should be noted that the airports and waypoints shown in LNM will (once set up correctly) match those available in FS - which do not always correlate 100% with those available within SimBrief - so export of a route created in LNM to SimBrief may not result in a 100% match... but that's probably something you may be familiar with already if you are using SimBrief.
