I just bought a 2022 2.7 Chevy. No complaints I don’t need it to haul heavy things, plus I also have a scat pack v8 car. So I really don’t care if my truck is not a v8

fellows and fellets the v8 is eventually going by the way side, iam an old timer and seen this coming, this 4 cyl turbo is an amazing engine and better than the electric motor, not engine coming our way so stop complaining. i use to be a v8 guy no matter what, ive owned them all and this 2.7 turbo truck which i justt bought i love it.

I have a 2021 sierra 1500 with the 2.7 - I had a 2018 5.3 Silverado and I like the 2.7 better. Tows a 16ft trailer weighing 4500 pounds like a dream. torque is awesome, turbo spool sounds right from the factory are great. I have no complaints as long as the engine lasts

I am really impressed with my 22 2.7 refresh plenty powerful tows great and low mpgs only con is the sound. I wouldn't try to make that 4 cylinder sound good. I rather leave it as quiet as possible

I know a 4 cylinder seems crazy guys but look at the specs! 310 horsepower, 348 ft pounds of torque. And just so we all know a 2003 Silverado with a 5.3L made 285 horsepower and 325 pound feet of torque. Technology has come a Looooong way!

Everybody laughs at the 4 banger but at least they aren't known for lifter issues like the new Chevy V8's all are lol.

As much as I wasn't a fan of Chevy releasing a 4 cyl full size truck I gotta admit they have plenty of power I mean you wouldn't want it it you're gonna plow snow or haul big trailers with heavy loads But as a construction truck or just a daily driver these trucks are solid I wouldn't slap an exhaust system On it as it's hard to make a 4cyl sound good but as far as the trucks capabilities for day to day it's a great truck And in my house we have a 22 Silverado V8 and a 22 2.7 4cyl Silverado And when I hit the gas in both of em they feel pretty damn similar Only difference is the turbo takes a second or two to spool up

Eveybody basshing cause its a 4 cylinder but its an inline 4 cylinder and horsepower is like 40 less and torque is like 50 more than the ly6 6.0 vortec found in the 08 2500hd and its rated to pull almost just as much as an 08 2500hd

Who the hell would want a 4 cylinder full size 4x4 truck it won’t even make enough power to pull anything.

A dual exhaust on a truck coming out the back bumper crossing the spare tire is just more for looks than performance for v8s, v6s, and I4s. Due to the exhaust on trucks having to cross the transmission anyway why add the extra weight and tubing to send it back to the other side of the truck again? It is even worse with and I4 though as the exhaust manifold all comes off one side of the block to begin with. With V-engines you at least have a little excuse that you have 2 sets of pipes coming off the block and thats why you have an extra pipe sweeping over the spare tire. My truck has a v8 with long tube headers, dual 3 inch pipes which have an X pipe and go over the axle then both pipes go out to the passenger side. On V-engine cars, dual exhaust coming out the rear bumper makes sense because you don't have the transmission fitment issues that occur on trucks. An I4 truck with dual exaust is as bad as having a dual exhaust on a I4 japanese import car...

That left side tip is really crooked hope you didn’t pay for that type of quality….
