Hair: volume/flowiness such as bangs, blow outs, and mullets. Makeup: natural beauty think tinted lips brushed up brows, clothing: knitwear (crochet, bulky sweaters, and turtlenecks) baggy jeans/trousers, and shoulder bags, jewellery had a big rise in valuing quality with Meijuri, Anna Luisa, Etsy, etc.

Other trends I noticed was shackets, teddy coats, ripped jeans, gaultier mesh tops, puffy bags, low rise jeans, clogs, and sequinned clothing. Personally not for me, but a lot of people enjoyed these styles this year.

I’m seeing the Euphoria (tv show) make up look everywhere so I think a lot of girls are going bolder with the eyes but bushy brows/tinted lips.

One of my predictions for fashion trends this year is “tennis player” look, tennis skirts, polo shirts, very “old money” vibe. Tied cardigan etc

I agree because I’ve picked up golf during the pandemic and I’ve slowly been transitioning my wardrobe to “country club”

To me the biggest trend of 2021 was the return of Y2K fashion. It manifested in a bunch of different pieces like trucker hats for example, but I know it has to be the biggest style trend because I’m just so sick of seeing it everywhere 😂

Biggest trends that hit the mainstream in 2021 in my corner of the world (Toronto Canada) were: tennis skirts, bike shorts + tube socks (princess diana vibes) and y2K fashion

I think the anti bacterial thing you predicted maybe we haven’t seen it in clothes but I did see a lot of phone cases with some sort of material that helps it stay out of bacteria

Also, hip hop by women is slowly rising. Doja Cat was the most streamed woman iirc and though she doesnt do heavy hop hop she's a rap/hiphop influenced artist. So we might see it 2022

Superinteresting video! In Sweden the ripped jeans is a thing and were during 2021. Baggy loose jeans with huge holes at the knee. Paired with super short puffy jackets.

I definitely got into fashion this year - got a beautiful Dion Lee shirtdress in perfect condition for 92% off secondhand today so I'm super excited to wear it! I'm hoping to get into sewing in the next year or so to perfect the fit of clothing I've already got. I don't really care about being behind the times if I like a piece - so once everyone gets rid of their Marine Serre second skin tops, I'm snapping them up because they're my favorite silhouette to layer! :)

Honestly I need up owning velvet sweatpants and leggings with the shape on the midriff, it just wasn't as low cut like yours. I also saw tons of bikinis and even underwear with that cut.

I think you kinda get it right in the hip hop instead was reggeton. Think about Kaliuchis, badbunny, bad gyal, even Maddy in euphoria, is the same kinda 2000s but remastered with cut outs, it's everywhere

It's hard to be on trend since I moved to Palm Beach FL. from Boston. When you don't change because of the seasons and always dress in linen, you can't be on trend. I miss leather pants.
