The more I watch you’re videos I more I’m considering moving over to the goldwing DCT from the k1600 GT. The GT is a great ride but the convenience of the automatic, creep forward and reverse is intriguing to me. I’ve 5’8” and those two conveniences alone have my attention.

I am a believer in the premise that speed is the determinant of fuel range. Go extra fast, run out. Go easy, ride all the way to your destination and arrive 12 minutes later on a whole morning's ride.

Another of my favorite rides. I like taking that turn off onto 74 for as well for some easy views and light cruising. Having made the relocation to SE Aurora makes it so that there is either a lot of highway time, or a lot of traffic time to get to the fun parts. Ride safe, looks like a lot of fun. I've only test ridden the 'wing along Parker a bit.

My experience with the 2003 GL1800 is that you don't even feel the second party on the machine. A passenger makes the bike a bit more "planted" on the road. Luggage weight is nothing; what's more important is how high above the bike it is...higher up the more you feel it. Again, low speed manoevering is the only place you feel the weight at all.

Started riding in ‘19 with a NC750x DCT. Moved to the ‘23 GW Tour DCT this past spring. Not going to any other bike and while I don’t need to 2-up since wife has her own bike, I can’t find any faults with this bike outside of the infotainment system

Thanks for the great videos, very informative. I am just going from a K1600gtl to the new 2022 Tour Premium Airbag DCT. It was delivered 2 weeks ago here in Australia but due to a shoulder injury I have not been able to ride and probably won’t for some months yet. So just looking at it and getting familiar with the controls and apple carplay and the setup so you don’t have to have a comms unit active to get the CarPlay to work through the speakers as the Australian delivered bikes don’t have any navigation built in. So you have to use whatever you have installed on your phone. I can’t wait to actually ride the bike..

How does it handle two up plus say 45 lbs of luggage in stop start city traffic? I just sold my 1250GS because it was unmanageable in that configuration in that scenario. The 1250 GS is an otherwise great bike but my wife finds it really difficult to climb on to the pillion seat, which is why it had to be sold. I’m now looking at a new GW Tour as soon as they become available.
