She really doesn’t speak on her Santa Barbara experience freely. She brings up many other projects. She speaks very sparingly on SB even when asked. Seems like she didn’t like the experience at all and was only thinking of doing the two years because she needed moment and nothing more. On another interview she shares this same view of her time on SB, but added that she low on money and was moving to Hawaii to work. Then she gets the call. Sounds like it was a prison sentence to her.

Thanks to this video I've watched some movies with her I haven't watched. And I guess most people favorites are princess bride, forrest gump, house of cars or wonder woman's Antiope. But I think her best acting works are She's so lovely, Nine Lives and Sorry Haters. Just watched those 3 movies and she's sooooo good. Maybe her best acting roles in all her career. She deserved awards attention for that movies.

I loved Santa Barbara. It was not cheesy at all. She was a typical 80s girl. Very beautiful. I wanted to look like her. I also loved Marcy Walker and A. Martinez.

She has a great career but it could have been a lot bigger. While being married with Sean Penn she turned down leading roles in big movies and choose smaller roles or leading in independent films to be with Sean and their children. She turned down Sabrina, The English Patient, Pearl Harbor, Batman Forever, the panic room, Jurassic Park, Charlie's Angels, The Firm and a lot more.

But look at Robin’s iconic role (as well as accolades) in House of Cards. She seems to be an actress that chose rolls that meant some thing to her instead of chasing being the biggest name possible.
