The 2021 Honda Pilot features the 9-speed transmission across the range, and essentially, that's the big change with the 2021 model year. However, this is my first experience with the Pilot so I was keen to see what this midsize Honda SUV was like to live with. With new competitors like the Hyundai Palisade and Kia Telluride and more traditional competitors like the Ford Explorer, Mazda CX-9 and Toyota Highlander, how does the simply designed Pilot stack up? I like the Honda Pilot, I’ve always thought that the reputation and reliability of Honda products make them a good choice for anyone who wants a good looking SUV. Great video.

It would be tough to choose between the Highlander Hybrid, CX-9 or Palisade for me. I like all them equally for very different reasons. If I could only have one, it would likely be the Highlander Hybrid due to its comfort and efficiency

@@maxlandireviews I’m considering the Highlander myself. I was looking for something as a roadtrip / camping vehicle that I could sleep in the back of on occasion. I had even been thinking of the Sienna.

Needs a redesign bad and the nine speed transmission is problematic. Needs the 10 speed in Acura MDX and Odyssey but I think they are waiting for next generation before putting it in there. The engine is fantastic though 😇

This is a huge investment. How can anyone spending this much money not want to have looks inside and out of a Telluride over this? You are right, very appliance like but also very minivan like.
