Very nice quad. I still have my 2005 rubicon . It’s been a good machine for me. I also have a fairly new Polaris sportsman. The honda has never let me down in 16 years. The sportsman has been good but I don’t think it will outlast the honda.

I hit 51 on my foreman 520. It's still pretty new though and stock tires. I know those things are probably light and thin as hell. but like you said I didn't buy it to be a speed machine if I wanted that I would have bought a Yamaha 450 or raptor

Honda has killed the top end on these ..can't even hit 50

Currently my '07 foreman 500 and my '16 Rancher 420 will outrun my 2020 Rubicon 520. The rubicon will jump the line and stay ahead up until it tops out around around 48 and then here come the other two which will run about 51. The rubicon is on stock tires though and the other two have about 1-2 inch aftermarket tire height advantage so hoping once I put on my larger tires I pick up some speed. I'll be honest though if I were to do it again after comparing this rubicon to the rancher I would be hard pressed to pay up the extra $1200 for difflock and low range and probably would get another rancher. I am rarely in deep mud so I could probably get by just fine.

47mph is more than enough. The riding I do rarely exceeds 30mph on a trail. I'm getting older and prefer the slower technical trails now. I had the fast quads when I was younger so I no longer have the need for speed.

I live in canada, I got the brown rubicon foot shift and its top speed is 75 kilometers / hour

If you have a tight clutch when you do a oil change it should loosen up the clutch to shift better

It’s weird I had a 2006 foot shift foreman with 26 inch bearclaws it would outrun my dads 2018 rubicon on stocks. It would also run 55 on flat ground.

Never been over 40 and that's on the fire roads in Ocala National forest in-between trails. Don't know why I would ever want to go faster then that on a atv. Picking my Rubicon camo, eps, manual shift in Georgia. Couldn't find one in florida. I do also have two Ranchers and wife has a talon 1000r fox live valve.

My 04 Rubicon will do 55 and has 28 horsepower. It's a 500.

520 seems kinda small for a big guy. I’m 6’1 220 without gear, water, tools. I’ve also only ridden a quad once. It was a 400 I think. I’d like to get a grizzly or kingquad 750 but they are more expensive and I like the idea of a regular tranny over the cvt. Any idea of MPG? I plan of going really far in the desert.

Lol, I owned one of them 6 leakers. Worst rig ever. Anywho, I just picked me up a foot shift ruby too. Yes it’s tight from the factory!!!!! Yikes hopefully she loosens up like you say. Ps you should upgrade to the ford 6.7 alumaduty, you’ll cry once buying it but that’s it.

Put a k&n Is air filter on it and see if you gain any speed. I had an old Foreman one time that would only do 45 and I put their filter on it and it immediately did 50 miles an hour
