I had one 2021 santa fe this suv design is awesome. I kept the eyes of everyone on the road. You are the center of attention when you drive this. The DRL are authentic.

Thanks Matt, a very comprehensive review. I really like this car (except for the wheels which I would change). It's the only non-luxury car I've found that has every single feature I want. For example, the 2021 Sorento doesn't have a memory drivers seat which is a deal killer for me.

Hey Brad, you are very welcome. And thanks for watching! I did a Sorento review as well and liked it a lot, but my choice would be the Santa Fe. I like their infotainment system better as well as the entire "command center" is laid out better imo.

Right now I'm thinking of buying either a Sorento xline or the limited/calligraphy Santa Fe. Sorento had me sold with the 7 seats, but the Santa Fe has so much more that I like. The console, heated seats in the rear, and overall MSRP.

Thats a tough choice, both great vehicles. If it was me i would go for Hyundai, love the design and the interior features. Unless 3rd row seat is a must of course. Thanks for watching!

I’m actually trading in my Corolla in on a Hyundai Santa Fe or Tucson...but love the Kona..it just won’t fit my two big dogs

Those rims aren’t specific to the calligraphy edition. Those are the 19 inch rims that come on the limited. I have yet to see a video of the Santa Fe calligraphy in the USA with the 20 inch rims that are exclusive to the calligraphy. What’s going on with that? I want the 20 inch rims! Also, what’s with the single exhaust tip? Either hide the exhaust tip like in other markets or better yet put dual exhaust. Years ago Hyundai CEO’s have dual exhaust. Why did they stop?

Thanks for pointing it out. I was told Calligraphy wheels were exclusive, did not realized it was just the 20 inches. As far as the exhaust, dual would look better but honestly i do not mind the single one either.

Few things. Rear tail light does not run across the whole vehicle. Also, I have no idea why U.S model doesn't come with map pocket for driver side. Korean market has it and every other market has it. Whoever thought it was a good idea to remove that needs to get fires

@@normgilbertson3975 yet the Sorento has dual map pockets. USA calligraphy also misses out on bright finished pedals, front seat back usbs and passenger seat side ancillary power switches . must not bypass the Palisade ?

I totally agree. Hyundai has been doing a fantastic job in both interior and exterior design, but some of their wheels lately have been hideous, imho.

Agree, but if the wheel design is my only complain, I am OK with it. BTW, I saw the 20inch and... I like those even less.

If you buy a Hyundai (especially the Tucson and Santa Fe) be prepared to spend minimum of $175-$500 every month on BS problems you will never experience in a quality car like an Honda. Every other month you will have to replace 1-4 0f 6 to 8 catalytic converters that go out for no reason like clock work one after the other. Your gas line will need replacing, then your gas tank that rotted from the inside for no apparent reason. Your check engine light will be on more than it is off. You'll also notice when you hit a bump your car will wobble when the front wheels leave the ground, your passengers will also notice this and ask you if the car is "safe to drive that way"?. When you finally replace head gasket, then the entire engine and decide you've had enough, and sell it for next to nothing, you'll buy yourself an Acura and realize that it never needs maintenance, that it isn't normal to be without your car every other month because it's in the shop again, and you'll swear like I did to NEVER buy another Hyundai again!!!

Seems like you have a bad one. I personally never owned one but know plenty of people who do and only few issues. At one point, I heard they had issues sith engines on Tucsons and Sonatas, where they used to sludge up causing cc to plug up. Most were replaced under warranty. You have 10 years powertrain warranty which you do not get with any other vehicle. Hopefully the new ones are much better.

Dan B I think you're full of it! $150 to $500 a month on BS problems? No way. I just traded my 2017 Tucson Limited in for a 2021 Santa Fe Limited and absolutely love it. I also loved the Tucson. In 4 years my only expenses were oil changes and tire rotations. Same with my 2011 Sonata SE 2.0T. Traded in after 99,000 trouble free miles. If what you say is true, you should have invoked the Lemon Law and had Hyundai buy the car back from you.

Sorry if you experienced this. My current ride is a 2013 Santa Fe with the Theta 2.0T engine. Approaching 90,000 miles and still going strong. And I don't baby it, routine maintenance and it runs as well as day one. For the first time in my life, I'll be buying a same brand car back to back, another Hyundai later this year.

I think you are a liar, and a hit punk for Honda. The problems you've mentioned? All covered under Hyundai's long term warranty. Watch what you post on KZfaq: recently, a jerk that was determined to slam Subaru with repeated BS posts ended up in a nice libel suit, and he is NOT doing well financially!
