All mistakes are my own, I took a lot of value from other youtubers who do this very professionally when I started researching my purchase, I'm not that guy, just want to pass on what I can.

Thanks for the closeup of the auto-connect. It seems like a lot of people complain about it not coupling correctly, but it was nice to see how it is supposed to work. Your video is more informative than the JD instructional videos.

Beautiful machine. I have a much simpler JD s180 that I am trying to figure out how to modify it so I can drive over the deck w/o damaging the spindles. I love using my machines w/o the decks to pull stuff and do other yard work. No, you weren't talking to yourself I got a lot out of seeing how the drive-over works on a tractor that is supposed to support it. I appreciate you taking the time to make the video, thanks!
@nopresetsnarklimit16753 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching. Those ramps are very lightweight and easily removeable, I think that could be great starting point for converting yours to drive-over. I agree, I find myself taking off the deck more and more to do other things, fortunately this system makes it an easy process especially after you’ve done it a couple of times, I’m really impressed with the design. Best of luck in adapting your machine to better fit your needs and the way you work. A desire to do something differently sometimes leads to the best inventions and tinkering is fun along the way.

Love the HC decks. I was pleasantly surprised that the drive over "ramps" just pop off without tools to make blowing off the deck easy peasy. Looking forward to your next video.

This was a good video. I really appreciate you giving the camera views. Getting a X734 delivered tomorrow with the auto connect deck. Another video showed a problem with the connector on the auto connect. The screws need lock tight to hold em in place. Otherwise the connector will spin but the belts won't.

One thing you need to make sure you do after installing the deck is to check your height and level with the gauge they provide in the console to your right and the tool for adjusting each side. You should follow the 1 2 3 marked on the tool in order and use it in the positions marked on the tool against the deck each spring when you put it back on.

serious question why pay $16000 for this? and not just get a 1025r
@nopresetsnarklimit1675 Жыл бұрын
Great question. Caveat: wasn’t $16,000 before Biden. Ultimately the answer lies in what is your main use case, mine is mowing and snow moving. The finish mowing is superior on this machine as compared to the 1025. Also tire tread damage plays a factor on grass. The 1025 would be a great choice where mowing is less important vs bucket or hoe, 3 point accessories etc.

Excellent video, thank you. Did u have to attach the auto connect pto previously. Did u remove it from the hanger bracket prior? It’s my understanding the auto connect PTO store in the hanger bracket during winter use?
@nopresetsnarklimit16753 жыл бұрын
No, I ordered the auto connect as an option from the factory. There is no hangar bracket at all, that is for the non-auto connect PTO, the entire assembly that lowers down to grab the mower deck and engage with the PTO shaft self-stores underneath the mower by raising the hydraulic lever to its highest position while the dial knob on the floor board is in the transport/remove deck position. It just stays up there by itself. A hangar bracket is specifically mentioned in the manual for the non auto connect version.
@danielcrafton66763 жыл бұрын
Ok thanks. I also Ordered a 54in blower so I believe my auto connect PTO Will store in the hanger bracket so that my blower can connect to the PTO. Different from urs I think. Thanks again.

U do have the hanger bracket installed (3:34 mark) u just don’t utilize it with ur blade since ur not using PTO in winter time. So u get to have ur PTO attached at all times. Sorry for the repeated posts

does your deck ever get stuck and won't go down because I have a x738 and it happens sometimes
@nopresetsnarklimit16752 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching. No, mine has never gotten stuck but I observed something that might apply to you. I use a mat under my deck to keep it from sliding on the concrete, (this is in reference to the recommendation in the manual to A. Have your deck on a level surface, B.Connect your deck on the grass to keep it from sliding; one time I was hooking up and I did not have the deck evenly placed on the mat so that one side of the deck was on the mat and the other side was not, when I lowered to set the height on the anti-scalp wheels I could see a little binding occur as the anti-scalp wheel posts moved up inside the shafts. I noted that the uneven surface probably put a little sideways force on the posts and decided to change my routine a bit in the future and lock the anti-scalp wheels in the up position when lowering the deck to avoid the potential for binding during this process.

Congrats on the new machine!

OMG!!! I need this in my life!!! Currently I have been hauling 2 cans, 1 at a time a little junky trailer down about a 1/4 mile gravel road to the spot where the trash truck will grab them. This video and the links just made my day!!!
@nopresetsnarklimit16753 жыл бұрын
@@74jcorvin Awesome! Great product, has been very useful for me. I looked into other types that were cheaper that basically drag the trash can by the wheels but at $70 a pop per trash can I felt pretty certain the wheels on the cans would disintegrate rapidly and that made the expense of this unit a better choice for me.

I am sad to tell you that when I purchased this pre-nonsense late 2020 I paid less for the Mower, with 54" Deck, with Mulch Control kit, with Quick Hitch Front Snow Plow Blade including hydraulic lifter, with Ballast Box with Quick Attach Rear Kit, with Front Fender Kit, with 5 years worth of home maintenance kits, and four extra sets of blades for less than the BASE price of just the mower NOW without any deck or accessories. Just the mower was $11,849 at the time, now it's $14,669. Today, with all the attachments and accessories you'd pay $20k minimum for my set-up. Put another way.... I also bought a new Z970R around the same time and if I took all the money I paid for both the X739 and Z970R together...today I could buy just ONE of them for the same money.
