What a beauty! Dealerships always perplexed me. A dealer's whole existence relies on repeat and new customers. When I was looking to buy my truck I didn't look for price I looked for the best rated service dealership and travelled 1 hour away to buy it. Best decision ever. I'm at the age now where if you wrong me once you will never see me again. =D Good decision finding a better dealer!

Nice Machine, CONGRATS!! I have the previous series X7, 2WD, gas. What you call a "proportioning valve" behind where your hydraulic hoses connect is actually a lockout valve. You crank it all the way in for snow duties, and it locks out fluid from going to your deck lift hydraulic cylinder. That way your blower chute and angle cylinder (depending on if you are using a blower or a blade) operate faster. I'd love a Diesel and 4WD, but it's just a want and not a need.

I have a 2021 X738 with the 60HC deck. I respectfully disagree with the removal of the plastic coverers from the drive over ramps. I find there is no need. Those drive over ramps pop off with just a tug (totally tool less) and the covers come with them. One of my favorite features of the new HC decks.

I don't know what you paid for the 738 but $7500 for a machine with 500 hours is pretty fair. It must have been in great shape. I'm surprised the dealership offered you that without seeing the machine in person and checking compressions, etc. I think you did well on the deal. I'd like t trade my 590 for one some day.

How does this thing handle on hills? Like going sideways on 10-15 degree slopes? My x590 can handle them fine I’m wondering if this would actually be an improvement for mowing slopes sideways since it’s a bit heavier and wider stance? Thoughts?
@stuntcardriver2 жыл бұрын
I have never had an issue mowing hills. I borrowed my dad's x580 and that struggled on the hills that I mowed. I never had a traction issue with my x738 or x758.

So far, how is it compared to the X738? My Grandpa just bought a X738 in May that now has 25 hours. I'm thinking he should've got the diesel (he paid 17,000$ total for his 738, 54in deck, and 47in blower). But all he does is mow about 0.90 acres and snow blows 4 roughly 60ft x 25ft foot driveways in the winter.
@stuntcardriver2 жыл бұрын
Nothing phases the x758. The x738 is a very capable machine just has less torque. I have the same size snowblower and the x738 handled it no problem.
@v1nc3mc2 жыл бұрын
@@stuntcardriver That I was kind of figuring. He had a 1995 445 that he bought new and used to plow 5-6 driveways back then with it (22hp) and the same 47in blower with no issues. I'm sure the X738 will do great at that, and so far it's done just fine at mowing too. But he's mentioned it a few times to me that it's a gas hog and even the old 445 used less fuel, and had a bigger tank to boot. Since his is such low hours and almost brand new I personally feel he should trade it in for an x758 but I'm not sure that it's truly necessary or not
