It’s a sharp looking car, but that’s it. If you enjoy driving and want the best driving car with a better updated interior and modern transmission, this isn’t the car. I love how they look, but everything else just falls short with pretty much everything else in the segment. It’s a shame too. If this car had a ZF8 with a turbo and least 380hp, I could forgive the ugly dated interior and buy one.

My relative still has his 1992 Lexus LS, immaculate condition, never had any major issues.

It looks super aggressive but it does not actually drive aggressive which is the problem. Lexus isn’t making cars quick/fast enough nor luxurious enough to bring the brand to the next level. Lexus competes more with other Japanese cars like Infiniti and Acura not German ones tho. Most people don’t keep there cars for more then 4-5 years anyways so reliability’s only one important aspect that is important to a minority of people not majority of people.

@@omarmahmood5011 It's all about perspective. Reliability to me is part of luxury. Also, this class of vehicle doesn't exactly attract wealthy people. It's not S class money, so I suspect that reliability is more important to more people than you think. Then again, the average consumer is clueless about cars, most are attracted to brand recognition.

@@chigasaki06 that is true but for the same price of this, your also in area of Audi A5 , or A4, C class, CLA, A class, bmw 3 series , 4 series, etc other cars too.

I've purchased used BNW's in the past and none every gave me mechanical problems and BME driving dynamics is superior to Lexus. Enough with the cliche crap you hear on the internet.

Wouldn’t say luxury since the Germans brands (Audi , BMW, Mercedes) offer much more luxurious cars and overall interior/technology People buy cars for different reasons and I understand the concern for reliability but not all Lexus cars are as reliable as people think nor are all German cars as unreliable as people think it will come down to its owner at the end of day. This car is also very underpowered compared to its competitors and is generally the same price too which is something to consider.

Yes this v8 seems to be underpowered - at least in tq because it has more hp than the mustang but less tq than it. But how many other rwd v8 compact sedans are out there. Only other kind are mid to full sized muscle sedans like the charger and 345 hemi 300

@@omarmahmood5011 agree, even new Lexus models have issues! all new cars(brands) have life span of 3-4yrs. they like smartphones, becomes disposable over time. back in days cars used to be indestructible, and not only toyota/lexus, european cars as well, not any more! they want you to spend money every 3-4yr on new product.

@@omarmahmood5011 yes but remember that for this specific 2021 Lexus IS 350 it was only a refresh. The engine and powertrain are the same as it has been since 2014. The engine and transmission is already a proven platform. As the reviewer stated there are already used Lexus IS models with over 200,000+ mileage for sale which shows the reliability. So we can absolutely make the generalization that this Lexus will be reliable.

Just vinyl wrap it lol it’s a lot cheaper. The is500 have the black chrome pieces but I can only imagine what it would cost to purchase those

Bought my 2018 350 F in RWD for the faster 8spd transmission and also for Torsen LSD becoming standard option for RWD starting in ‘18 back then. I’ll be waiting for the IS 500 😎

IS really isn't that popular, its one of Lexus' least selling models. The ES is extremely popular.

Both are great choices. It comes down to power delivery, I have a Stinger GT1. Do you want V6TT or V6? I think the 2022 G70 is a great looking car but I plan to get the IS.

There is no way a 3rd gen IS hits 0-60mph in 5.0 seconds especially with AWD. 2nd gens are much faster due to the gearing ratio and they hit between 4.6-5.2 seconds

ISF, GSF, LC500, and the upcoming IS500 LSD with a v8. Powertrain will last half a million with basic maintenance. It's unique the NA v8 builds power instead of bursting low down and sitting flat on top. It's almost like a gradually realized orgasm. It will also beat most turbo competitors from roll simply due to displacement. More HP than the new M3. So no it's not boring.

Because spending money on a car that keeps breaking is fun

@@xFlared the new Is 500 does seem much more interesting and if the V8 is anything like the IS F’s of old, I think the orgasm you speak of it’ll be a much more exciting car than the 350 F. I’ve gotten to spend some time in the 350 F, my girlfriend owned one. And it’s just not a very good exciting car at all. The engine, gearbox and technology are outdated, and it’s just not sporty. But of course it’s very reliable. But Zzzzz. Just my experience and my take, if I was in the market for a sports car I would at least get one that felt sporty. End of the day the F Sport is just a trim level and doesn’t make the character any more sporty than the looks.

Most cars that are manufactured today are very reliable and will last pass 100K miles with proper care obviously, the thing is many people don't keep them that long. Not to mention because of "reliability hype" that Toyota has many car dealerships charge over msrp for a car that gives you way less than competition and all because of the hype. I've seen countless Hyundais and kias pass 200K miles and still running. Back in early 2000s I'd say get Toyota now I'd say get whatever best value for money you can get

Refresh or not. The design is elegant, sporty, timeless, and futuristic. Look at 2004 acura tl. The design is still better than most newer hondas or toyota.
