Thanks for reviewing this particular version of the LS....was curious about it. Car companies have to knock off the pumped in sound. Either offer a V8 with all of its great sounds or go with the blown 6 and have it sound less good. Better yet, put the time into making it sound good. When did anyone ask for sound effects in their cars?

You can say Porsche is best represented by its 911. BMW's poster child is the successful 3 series. Honda for its Civic. Lexus may sell far more RX & NX, but the LS has always been the core of what the brand defines. Beautiful craftsmanship, impeccable build quality, gorgeous materials and smooth effortless power.

One thing EVERY reviewer lacks to understand is the Concierge setting.... enabling Concierge allows the temperature setting to control both the HVAC and seats by just using the temperature zone. If you’re diving into the settings on the screen, you’re doing it all wrong. The rest is done by voice.

Without the 5.0 V8 there is no point to even consider this stone age grandpa camry Genesis on the other hand is so much more modern and classy more tech, more logical user friendly tech. Which makes much more sense when u want a true luxurious experience while without breaking down every other week (Germans/ Brits etc)

What a beautiful beast of a car

I have a Lexus IS300 for a few years now. I found an easy solution to the infotainment system. Step #1 - set up to a cool looking navigation display. Step #2 - never touch it again. Lexus has buttons for everything you need.

While I'm not a fan of the black/white contrast of exteriors like this, I do think this appears a far more attractive appearance to my eyes. A nice tan/brown interior color would have been my preference but this is still very nice.

It's remarkable how Lexus always seems to have some penalty for having all-wheel drive in their sedans/coupes. In the IS and the RC, it's the transmission. In the LS, it's the ride quality.

The only thing missing is a V8 engine How can a FULL Size sedan not have a V8 engine option

It’s nice that they went touchscreen, but it looked a lot better with the screen integrated into the dash, it looks like an aftermarket just stuck on now, plus the headlights looked better before.

The older LS vehicles (to me) were always known for their buttery smooth engine and transmission. Super quiet and super comfy. I have an old 1998 and I can't tell the engine is on when its idling at a stoplight unless I look at the tach. Has the new ones lost some of that buttery smoothless to get some more performance and handling out of it?

Pre-refresh model (2018-2020) looks far more sophisticated than this model. Dash center screen does not flow at all with the interior, unlike the pre-refresh model. New headlights are a clear cost-cut measure, as these are easier to manufacture and integrate. Old headlights really made the front end stand out. Also, no excuse for this one to not offer the 471hp 5.0L V8 from the LC500 as an option, when the prior LS460 weighed about the same and featured a 386hp 4.6L V8. Embarrassing that the Genesis G90 still offers a potent V8 and this doesn't. Top executives at Toyota making all the bad decisions lately. Sad.

I own last year's LS500 and I don't see the point in trash talking the infotainment. After a week of using it becomes super easy. Most of you journalist only use it for one or two times without getting used to it and then you trash talk it. I think it's quite easy.

Love the LFA like tachometer! I just can't get behind the artificial noise being piped in through the speakers...
