The voice recognition is much improved over the last S class, where it was hit or miss. I found the Audi A8 to be superior in that regard. This is is better than both.

I agree the w222 has a timeless beautiful interior and exterior. One of the nicest looking luxury cars out there

Disagree, new one looks better interior and exterior. You can argue the old interior may age better.

A piece of bad design is unlikely to grow on anyone. An unusual design, maybe - a bad one, no. People will just become indifferent to it as it becomes (if it becomes) a more common sight.

@@cuttight when the W222 came out in 2014, people said the same thing. “Omg they’ve ruined it” “omg why would they get rid of the wide fender arches on the 2221” ... 6 years later now look. We all love it and think it’s the best S class ever.

@@KCKnowsBest Nice try. Won't work. The W222 didn't get anywhere near the negative press this one is getting. The main objections there were that it's lines on profile didn't look refined enough (which was rectified over time, because those design elements were not part of the fundamental / proportional design of the car). With this one, they have really cocked it up. Only Mercedes fanboys and fangirls are prepared to defend this piece of design failure the new S NoClass is. Rest assured, though, it will become a very popular taxi for Uber as it will only be used by people who don't care what it is and what it looks like as long as their 45 min ride to the airport is comfy enough.

Exactly... The Mercedes Benz brand has become a watered down luxury company. Rolls and Bentley know that they aren't in competition with a relatively new manufacturer called Tesla... This S Class will be an epic failure.

I finally love the interior. First time i hated it, but now i like it very much. It looks very sporty and the interior i think they do a good job. In the previous it was perfect but i think this is more futuristic

@Marco Deo i have an uncle who said the same thing about his MBUX and touch screen experiences. I think it works for some markets but not all. It was clearly built for a very narrow audience.

People always says that when facelift Mercedes came out, then 10 yrs later .. Mercedes becomes a benchmark.

When you see a new MB, sometimes it's hard to remember how ugly the last one was and fairly compare the new ugly to the old.

@@catalinxnecula if it feels like an apple trackpad then that would feel luxurious. Going by the large bezels they're a gen+ behind current phones /tablets. No doubt the new s is very quiet and very comfortable with even better fit and finish but I wonder if they could go the bentley way and push a button to hide the large screen in a fine material of ones choice.

@@tydeProductions subjective analysis, looks and design is a subjective thing, on that i agree with you but e63 s has a suspension set up that is no good for long journeys yet M5 comp offers better performance over E63 S in a slighlty better suspension setup, sound wise merc is way better also
