How did you like the handling? Did you feel the need to lower the handlebar or was it fully natural?

The handling is great on this bike especially because it bottom heavy, you can easily flick it. Never felt the need to lower the bars.

Hello mate, when you say suspension setup wasn't ideal, could you have had it set up better or does track riding bring this bikes suspension to its limits? I'm asking because I'm thinking should I fork out extra money for the SP???

Do you think its worth buying a brand new MT-09 SP and reduce it to a 35KW or not? Any advice?

I don't think you can reduce it to 35kw. Although I've read somewhere that a 35kw model might come out this year.

are these the original suspensions? Doesn't that pose a problem for the track?

The weak spongy suspension was in the first gen mt09, they added adjustments on the second gen and upgraded it and made it stiffer on the new gen. As long as the spring rate is set to your weight along with proper sag and settings, there shouldn't be any problems. Unless you are a track junkie and want to dial in precise settings, you should get the SP or upgrade the suspension to something else.

Try 26psi at front and 24 at rear. Day and night difference in the corners...

Also, start using gearbox, it's not that difficult as you have bi-directional quockshifter.

@@Moztreet That is the perfect case to practice all aspects of driving. Even if engine allows you to run all race on the second gear and pull even from the stop

nice track session! I really felt like i needed lowerer steering though when i tested at the track a couple of times. You can check the vids on my channel ;)
