I’ve had mine now for only three weeks and have been going out on it almost every day. I absolutely love it. There’s only about 260 miles on it so can’t really get on it until after break in. I have the same color as yours. Still getting used to a quick shifter. I’m still in the habit of clutching up and down. Now if I’m just cruising, I’ll use the clutch but if I’m accelerating quickly I use the quick shift. Definitely no regrets on this purchase. It was between this and the Z900 bit the MT has so many more benefits which ,are me come to the decision and purchase. Love your vids. Keep them coming and stay safe.

I have the 21 SP and I love it. I have 5700 miles on it which is about 9000km. Been riding it hard and it’s currently undergoing the maintenance schedule for the winter. It’s handles awesome and ride knee down with no suspension adjustment. I’ll be getting a steering dampener for it soon.

Great machine! If you setup your suspension properly it will ride even better. I thought about a steering damper too but never really had a serious wobble, I'm always light on the bars.

Hi, Your video is great. I want to know what kind of motorcycles you had before MT09. Because I now have the ZX6R in production in 2019 and I am very uncomfortable riding it due to sports positions, so I really want the MT09 2021 just to be afraid of wind blowing. p.s. Sorry for mistakes :)
@Moztreet

Hey thanks for watching! I had a husqvarna 701SM, ninja zx6r, KX450f. Generally, naked bike are more comfortable than sports bikes. You can solve the wind issue with a large windscreen if you ride alot on the highway.

Great bike. Got 10k on mine before winter kicked in, still around 4 months long wait until riding season... The stock S22s didn't last long, the rear was pretty much worn out at 5k. Replace front and rear with new S22s and the rear seems to have more of a harder compound in the middle compared to stock/oem. They will definitely last longer than the stock ones, so the saying that stock tires are of somewhat "lesser quality" seems to be accurate lol. Can you do a full steering lock with the bar-end mirrors hanging down?
@Moztreet
@Moztreet 2 жыл бұрын
My rear stock tire gave up at around 6k too and I also feel that the new rear I installed is higher quality, we'll have to wait and see on my next track day. The mirrors don't hit the tank but I'll show it in the next video!

I've just got an SP new (2023 colours) and comparing it with previous bikes I have owned there are a few things I don't like related to city riding. I think reviewers overlook them rather than risk getting criticised for saying negative things about the bike. TLDR There are some really minor issues that are probably known to yamaha and which can be overcome by the bikes owner. The clutch lever isn't adjustable for position which is annoying for those who like the clutch take up close to the grip. But a set of custom levers will fix it. For people with small hands its probably a non issue. For those of us with big hands it puts clutch control at a really awkward position within their fingers. The quick shifter is great for fast acceleration and deceleration but will fight you and prevent manual shifting if you want to manually shift. For example quick shift up to the general urban speed limit in my area which is 60km/h will leave you in 3rd. But trying to short shift once more to 4th to cruise at the speed limit at lower revs and even doing it using the clutch will have the quick shifter getting in the way and actively preventing the short shift. That's a big no-no. The quick shifter should not block clutched shifts. It's a similar thing on downshifting... If you're cruising in a higher gear on lower revs and foresee that you'll soon need to tackle a hill or some curves or perform an overtake you'll want to pre-emptively drop down a gear or two. The quickshifter blocks the clutched downshift and you have to attempt the downshift twice just to go down one gear. I guess yamaha know this and that's why you can turn the quick shifter off. I just wish the ECU was smart enough to disable the quick shifter rules if the clutch is in use.

Omaha just got their very first ‘21 in black. Guess what, it was built in December of 2020. Holding out for a brand spanking new 2022 in black. The price only raised $100. Why buy a bike that’s now over one year old when a ‘22 is only $100 more. There are no discounts on these either since they’re all unicorns to start with. Yamaha needs to do better.

Nice video! Really thinking about this bike. I recently owned a MV Agusta Rivale, and it was a BLAST to drive, even more fun than the RR's that I have owned, but the electronics was a pain, and so was the seat... Think i am going for a bike with less gremlins this time, like a Yamaha 😛

@@Moztreet thanks, you have a sub. also i have another doubt, I really like the mt 09, specially that black colour, the new sp doesnt look that good, the 2022. I have seen a lot of videos about the price difference, and its worth to pay, but the new suspension, does it help the bike to be comfort riding or just for tracks makes it better. i wonder if the standard is as comfort as the sp.
