@@You-Cant-Do-That. defending can stop it, but there is no stopping it when they set their offence to full attack in their defensive zone and flip it out to a free breakaway 2 on 0.

@@You-Cant-Do-That. I’ve been playing defense in drop in and club since 12. Every year up until 20 and 21, if your in the passing lane, you’ll intercept the pass, easily, as one should when their body or stick is in the passing lane. This year, and last year, it has become almost impossible to intercept a cross crease as a defenseman. Doesn’t matter what build you are. If they can’t defend, it’s because the game won’t let them.

Cross creases and glitch goals competition. No resemblance of hockey at all. NHL needs to drop EA.

While I don't disagree with you. You can't be realistic. There aren't enough controls for every action you deem "resemblance of hockey".

@@winniesunny not a control issue. It’s an issue of bugs/glitches not being addressed and exploits constantly being found to score cheap goals. And this year playing defense is useless. Pucks go right through your defensemen, whether they’re in the passing lane or not. Also bad animations. Also terrible goalies.

@@winniesunny there can be more though, replace the letter/shape pad controls all with new defensive and offensive moves. Then make the select and touch pad buttons on the controller into a quick menu where like in GTA you can hold it down to get a menu of line up changes and strategies to use. Do the same with the d-pad controls and place them into that new pad too. Finally, the goalie controls have a lot more you can do with them with a lot of wasted buttons and slots for moves. Although, as MaskAnimations said: EA should lose their contract to make games, 2K should return and do it again. Just look how incredible of a job they are doing with NBA, they could do so much with NHL.

This game sucks. Literally every aspect of it is piss poor. The nets aren’t even realistic, the puck hits the back and just sits there. There’s no thought behind it other than EA wanting our money.

EA really need to make goalies have way faster reactions when it comes to cross crease passes, maybe bot goalies actually use the large stride mechanics. Or even add more save types to assist in cross crease passes, and backhand forehand goals.

NHL 22 will have worse glitches and bugs than 21 did.

Instead of addressing all problems of the game, they'll add another coat of wax to the helicopter. My favorite is the Chel games where you stomp the other team and 3 of their skaters and their goalie quit the game. The other team is then rewarded with compy players who shoot, pass, and handle the puck perfectly. Meanwhile the multiple goal lead you had is gone and the other team with more computer players than humans takes over and screws over your 6 man squad. Before anyone says to just play club instead, you can I play plenty of club. My club isn't elite and the matchmaking there is equally abysmal. Don't even get me started on the goalie glitches, trolls, griefing, and one of the most racist and toxic communities in gaming. Wtg EA.

Its worse than that....they wont be worse, they wont change at all! That's worse in my book! If it was worse, that would imply that EA changed or developed ANYTHING! Why do that when you can spend no money except new packaging...ya know, like they've done for more than a decade now.

When there's no competition for a product, there is no incentive to make it better. That's why this game hasn't changed in 15 years! All the cross crease and glitch goals are still the highest probability goals and have been since 2007. A shame, I would have bought these games since then if EA even pretended they have developed it at all.

I don’t think this game is as bad as everyone makes it out to be but yeah there’s definitely issues forsure. I personally have a lot of fun playing it. This competition surprised me though. I was expecting datsyuk flips , one handed tucks, and between the legs goals and I didn’t see any of them lol

Was hoping to see more hockey plays but no. Just dudes who have mastered cheesing. They're gonna have a lot of trouble in 22. Cheese is still there but much harder to achieve.

Everybody are complaining about the game but the problem is the creators of the video. They are terrible. They dont know what they are doing. They scrap all the story telling by cutting everything and putting it in a too short time. Less interviews , more footage of games and let the games tell the story. Cover a couple of games but dont show us the first the second and the last goal of a 11-3 games. what is that ? In 2020 the championship broadcast was perfect just do it that way! IM a director I could help as a consultant I would do it for free because that is what you need to create something good = PASSION!

one timer is the only way to score, defence is garbage... this game is SOOOOO BAD i can't believe I used to be the top years back.... now look what we do hahahaha time better spent

Could you all just stop crying for a minute about how awful those cross creases are? U need to realize, it’s still and arcade and it’s just about ability to use what’s the most efective way to score. So if they would change it to the point, where the cross creases aren’t the best way, those top end players would find other form of effective scoring and you would could be crying again about them using just one method.. If you cannot accept the fact, this is how pro nhl functions, than stop watching it. What would be the point of it, if they would just pointlessly shoot from everywhere like morrons and hope that something goes by the g. EA made many nonsense things this year and many years before, but there is much worse stuff to be discussed than CCs.Thanks for the attention and now let those guys do their job.
