My guess would be a rolling mill housing by the lifting lugs cast onto the side of it. These would help with the handling of it during installation.

Tri drive? Not with this rig. At 3:35 you can see the front set of rear wheels off the ground. That is a tag axle.Chrome hubcaps for a tag axle are not commercially available. Not a tri drive. If you listen carefully you can hear the air escape as he switches the tag up and down around the corners. My rolloff truck has the same dually pusher tag axle. Sadly no sleeper. Some pusher tags turn when cornering but dually tags do not turn that's why he's cycling them up and down. Nice rig. The pros always make it look easy.

Probably not over weight when considering per Axel. My company moved a Boiler, total weight was over the street limits, but no fines, due to the Axel Weights. We had to go a round about way to avoid a bridge through.

We have one of these trailers at my company. Not one of us know how to use it! About 14 different levers all written in German, super complicated. The Faymondvilles arent bad, bit easier to use. We like our SPMT'S, 6deck6, and 8deck8 Goldhoffers, but this trailer here is from outer space lol

If I remember correctly, it's Cummins X15 605 HP, and that would be 2050 FT-lb of torque, I only interacted with the driver briefly and mainly about the load weight and were I will be shooting from, so that I wouldn't get hit by this massive load, you just gave me an idea 😉. In Maryland, every load that is extremely heavy, wide, or long is escorted by State Police 🚔 and you must apply for a special permit. The police are there to block traffic at intersections and highways 🛣 because there's bridges that have restrictions on them. Most heavy loads must stop or crawl over the bridges. The police are there for traffic safety.

It's called the law due to regulations. That came to be because of lawyers and court cases. The flashing lights are so that no one can claim in court that they didn't see the truck and load. And yes, that has happened. Hence the regulations concerning it and pilot escort vehicles.

And they'll still run into you. Guy I knew had a 16 wide building with two state trooper escorts, lady turned off side road looking at her phone, ran right into the load and killed herself. He got sued and had deposition and had to go to court twice, he eventually won the case but it went on a couple years.

@@drvr1227 Yes that’s true, but it’s not uncommon for loads to have a group of axles behind the load or attached as a stinger behind the main trailer. They all contribute to carrying the weight.
