In this video, Amelia reviews the latest Peugeot 3008 in GT Sport trim, which is the highest of the three available. Amelia recently also bought the 3008 in the Allure trim. So she draws upon her experience with that throughout the review as well.
The Peugeot 3008 is offered in three engine options. A 1.6 Puretech turbo petrol with 121 kW and 240 Nm can be specced in Allure and GT. The GT also has a 2 L Blue HDi diesel option with 131 kW and 400 Nm. The very top GT Sport is the only one that gets a 1.6 turbo petrol with 133 kW and 250 Nm, basically a more powerful version of the engine in the Allure.
Driveaway for the 3008 starts at just under 50k for the allure. Or repayments as little as $125. And for this top GT Sport, the drive-away price is 59,830.

The windscreen wipers on the car are set up correctly for right hand drive. On left hand drive models, they are the mirror image. This Peugeot arrangement is designed in the unusual way, that Amelia points out, to get the best possible coverage of the windscreen. Back in the 80's, Volkswagen didn't change the wiper set up for right hand drive cars. In heavy rain you were driving with a massive opaque triangle in the top right hand corner of the windscreen. Dangerous. As VW grew their UK market share (and possibly Australian, I can't say) they started doing it properly. One thing Peugeot don't change for right hand drive cars is the position of the fuse box. That's why the glove compartment is so small on this car.

The Opel Grandland is indeed mechanically the same as this car. Given that they are both compact SUV’s, they could not look more different, inside or out.

These cars are very popular in Europe. In Australia Citroen - Peugeot have a limited range. In general Peugeots are great cars - excellent touring - reliable (have a look at rally results) - comfortable - handle well. We've owned them for 50 years. Never - and I mean never, had a major problem. Just a hint - make sure you get a mechanic that specialises in European cars.

I am from Germany and French cars now are considered as just EXCELLENT. Many Germans are fed up with German cars, being overly expensive. French cars now massively deliver on quality, design and reliability. Yes, reliability. In all Europe, French cars score excellent at security tests. Stop living in the past, it's no longer the 90's.... by the way, which cars does Finland produce ?? Stop trash talking French cars, it's just grotesque.

@@wolffury5019 Doing some minor redesigns on a car helps for more profit without investing much more money. Modern car bumpers are also made with thermoplastics olefins, which is easy to redesign...so to save money and make people pay more, they just change the front of the car. Basically, people are paying more just for the sake of a small plastic part that has been redesigned. Notice also how many plastic parts are used in cars nowadays...plastic is cheap....

You have absolutely no idea what you are talking about. There are some excellent European specialist mechanics who love Peugeots (Yes - they are quirky) They are extremely reliable - except for the early 1.2 L petrol Tech engines. The diesel engines have been proven over time. We have had Peugeots for 50 years (Over 10Million kms) Never had a major problem.
