Never heard of the Captur but it certainly looks and feels like a good value offering in the 120k range! Even the golf base model is going at 125k these days (shame about the Cat B). The old school aircon controls are a plus in my view, much easier to use on to go compared to the touchscreen implementations these days.

Thanks sgCarMart review for the wide variety of cars. But I realised the Peugeot sister brand Opel is always left out. You guys reviewed the 3008 but not the Grandland. Not even a mentioned about it. Even the competitors for the Captur was mentioned VW T-Cross, Pug 2008 and even Skoda Kamiq. Why never mention the Opel Crossland lea?

How do you think the TCE 90 engine would perform in this? It's 90 bhp.

Hey guys, thank for your reviews. It is interesting to watch video in English from others countries and hear what people think about cars that you are review to buy. It's so crazy to hear such cost for car. I'm from Ukraine and here you can find the least price for new car is near $10-11k (Chery Tiggo 2 or Renault Logan). Capture cost here near $21-22k and with 1.5 turbo engine $24k. MG HS cost from 22 till 28k. Mazda CX-5 from 28k till 40k and so on. I'm trying to select SUV car for my parents. What in my list: Peugeot 3008 with 2.0 diesel + all safety features ~34.5k Toyota RAV4 AWD with 2.5 hybrid + all safety features ~ 39.5k Renault Capture with 1.5 petrol ~24k MG HS with 1.5 petrol ~22.4k MG HS AWD with 2.0 petrol + all safety features ~28.6k I need car for 2 persons, 90% of the time in the city with small trips in 5 km. We don't need to rush any where and also will not use trunk all the time. What is your personal choice with such criteria and from that list? Thank you in advance.

Great review, Jon. I am tempted to get Renault Captur. One thing that pull me back to consider getting a Renault is the maintenance of this car. Would your be considering to do a series on the maintenance/running costs of different brands and models of cars? This would help car buyers to make more informed decisions.
