Thanks for posting this, it’s on my planned route to TUK. Keep the great videos coming.

I did the Bob Campbell in a Tacoma and was sort of planning to do the Canol North but got a flat on the Bob Campbell. I had two spares and a compressor and a tire repair kit and extra gas but the weather was crap (snow in August which didn't surprise me) but chickened out. Nice video.

Thanks for sharing! Looking to do a trip in a couple of weeks near here (maybe South Canol if it's open) and I definitely appreciate being able to get a gauge of what might be expected. Any must know tips for such a trip or was it relatively straight forward other than being a bit remote?

I was just up there. Rode all the way to the NWT border and up to the first river crossing on my GS. The Mackenzie mtns are spectacular. I too camped at Dragon Lake. Great spot! How far did you go up? Doesn’t look like you went up to Sheldon mtn or Sheldon Lake or even to the first set of trucks. The North Canol is a daunting ride for a solo rider. I had a bear bother all night at Dragon Lake. Soo much so, I packed up and left at 4:30 am…. No sleep that night. This was my 3rd time solo riding the North Canol. I personally think it’s the best wilderness road in the Yukon. Cheers ~GrizzLee

Rode just to Dragon Lake - your right about it being a daunting road. Hoping to head back up there next year and ride all the way. This year I went up the Robert Campbell Highway to Dawson City. Got all the way to Tuk, then back to Dawson. Next was the Top of the World highway and then up to Fairbanks. Managed to also fit in the Denali highway and then home (Victoria, BC).. Great 20 days on the bike. By the way, the reason I was on the North Canol was because of your videos. Really appreciate them! Ron

@@ron123ron Hope you make it and have great weather. There are some great places to camp off the road with fantastic tundra views a bit beyond Macmillan River Crossing #1 (A Bailey bridge). Camping just inside the NWT is a bit iffy for me being alone. I've always seen a lot of Grizzly scat there. A local 1st nations person I met up there said there are a lot of grizzlies on the first 14 miles or so of the NWT side of the road. It also gets very rough pretty fast there. . You need about 360 miles of fuel range though. When did you go to Tuk? I rode up there on Canada Day. Had fantastic weather. Cheers, ~ Grizz
