Please make a detachable cable for the graphic unit next time so it's more compact for transport and I don't have to fear to break the cable and include a long cable and a short cable in the package! Thanks

Agreed! That would be ideal, and make it easier to replace the cable if it accidentally gets damaged, the pins bend, etc. Right now, if that cable breaks, it becomes a very expensive paperweight. 😬

I am very lucky to get the SuperNova edition with 1080p screen @ 120. It is just awesome! As stated elsewhere, I do also wich the XG Mobile gfx cable could be detachable as well. Possibly the next XG Mobile case design so that it doubles as a laptop stand by having the XG mobile lay flat and put the Flow on the edge furthest away from the fan grill. Also, please make a sleave also fit the power supply/cables! Otherwise this is a brilliant product! Dare I now get the Z13 as well?!?!?!

I am waiting for the Q2 update I hear is coming, but this is what a laptop should be, in my mind. I have been waiting years for a lightweight, small, 360 display laptop that actually has a usable CPU and GPU. If you make a 14" version with a 70wh+ battery and maybe 45-50w GPU solution in this design (would probably just replace the G14), that would be the absolutely perfect laptop.

@@BH16344 honestly, it's a roughly $600 gpu plus $200+ dock if you want to compare it to a thunderbolt 100w charging dock. The upcharge is high, but not insane for anyone that wants this to be both their powerful and light laptop and extremely capable gaming desktop at home. If the second revision has a built in 3050 or something with a 10%+ performance bump over the 1650 at the same price, the laptop on its own will be an absolute killer in this. At 14" it would be the perfect laptop IMO.

@@NetworkNerd note also that most eGPU enclosures themselves already cost around $300. So while this XG Mobile is expensive, I can understand the price. A lot of R&D went into this laptop. If the XG Mobile connector sticks around, I'm sure the price will come down eventually.

hello, so i bought my ROG FLOW X13 recently and it gets hot so much even when it's using two percent of the and the sound of the fan is pretty annoying. Is there anyone with same trouble? please reply

@@Filippo9990 if you are planning to buy only laptop then no issues. It's one of best ultrabooks you can buy. Buy 1080p 120fps model only But if want to buy XG Mobile I suggest leave it for now. XG Mobile is 1st Gen so it has many issues

The only issue I have is the placement of the power button, its placement is in such a way that I accidentally hit it while plugging in or out anything in the USB C port. I have hit it once or twice while trying to pick my my laptop also.

Ik gpu fittings are hard as hell, but I would love it even better with better internal GPU. Altho I love it now too ❤️ It's true , it really combines best of every world

Yes it can run 4K120Hz 27 inch panel without eGPU effortlessly, even without dGPU (RTX3050 off), but it will occupy one USB Type-C port. The HDMI (2.0) only supports 4K60Hz output. My gear: Flow x13 (R9-5900HS/32GB/1TB/RTX3050Ti) + Acer XV273K V 27inch 4k165Hz Panel (without eGPU) Hope it helps!

Would love to have a desktop version of 3080 eGPU compatible with x13. The mobile version is just not as powerful as the desktop one, especially in higher resolutions. I'm not intending to take that 1kg more eGPU on hikes and traveling so I'd rather have a bigger, bulkier one but with desktop power when I come home to play that Half Life Alyx without any compromises. I understand though that someone might prefer the mobile version eGPU with less juice but better portability. It is just a matter of preference and I fall into the group that would prefer the desktop eGPU. I hope this technology would spread to more of Asus laptops

Asus proprietary touch screen and stylus technology

It does not use Wacom. It uses MPP, which is Microsoft's protocol (requires battery, not a high fidelity as Wacom's EMR nor AES). The ASUS pen has fairly bad reviews, though I haven't tried it. The emerging consensus is that the Microsoft Surface pen and the Raphael 520 are the best performing pens for this laptop.

the laptop alone is 1499, and there will be a cheaper r7 version with still be powerful enough, then get the 3070egpu its said to be over 1k cheaper

I was disappointed that they released the R7 model here. I would like the get 5980HS model. But it is fine I guess. 1200p on a 13.4inch screen looks like 4k 28inch monitor

Liquid metal isn’t a new thing, and you would never have to open the laptop to re-apply the liquid metal anyway.

@@E82N55 70-75C degrees on battery while just browsing and watching youtube 4k. It also sometimes got too hot to touch while in tablet mode since the bottom vents were blocked from folding into 2-in-1. On my Ryzen 7, FHD 120Hz model, battery life was 5 hours average, up to 6 at best with extreme battery saving techniques.

@@mini9503 That battery life is to be expected, really. They call the battery "enormous", but it's really barely over 60wh. With low brightness, no internet, playing back a video at native resolution, it might draw somewhere around 5-8 watts, and so last around 10 hours. Include Bluetooth, wifi, streaming video, or anything GPU intensive like gaming, and you're gonna start drawing anywhere from 12-50 watts, so that starts to look like 6 hours on a good day, or an hour of gaming.
