I would still go for 2.0 tdi with 115hp. It is the winner at hypermiling 2000 km with 1 tank. 2.8 l

Bin zwar kein VAG-Fan, aber der neue Octavia sieht als Limousine verdammt lecker aus. Wer nimmt denn da noch das viele Geld für eine vergleichbar ausgestattete A3 Limousine in die Hand? Der 1.5 TSI geht auch sehr gut vorwärts. Ich frag mich nur, ob er im Laufe der Zeit genauso zuverlässig ist wie der 2.0 TDI.

New 1.5 engine seems to be much keener than old 1.4 TSI 150 hp engine. 0-200 time is much better.

old one consume (significantly) less fuel too at least in those Jetta for american market combined with 8 speed automatic

You don't need to pay tons of money for Audi/VW when you have this. But I believe fuel consumption and speedometer are too optimistic.

@@Mr11ESSE111 No idea where you live (except in your own little fantasy world most of the time), but the Octavia is about 25-30% cheaper with equivalent engine and equipment vs. the Audi A3 and VW Golf, and they're smaller cars.

I wonder y skoda isnt offering all the models of octavia in other markets it is being sold.. This 1.5tsi with fully packed features wud be a hot seller in india... Be it a 6MT or a 7DSG ... Ironically in india this dumbo skoda is selling style variant 2.0tsi without a powered tailgate,adaptive skoda bi xenon DRL lighting n also without a 3rd zone climate control in the rear with sun blinds on door windows..but rathr with a useless shift by wire DSG 7 speed gearbox.. This very style model strts at a woooping price too and even the LnK variant misses out on 3rd zone climate control ac .. I hope skoda introduces this 1.5 tsi with enough features in the forth coming yrs.. Seriously skoda can give bmw,mercs,audi a run for their money....

Das ist mal ein guter Verbrauchswert bei 160 km/h (7.7l). @Test Drive Freak, der Ford Focus Hybrid mit 155PS hatte ja 9.3l in Deinem Test. Wenn das beides auf gerader Strecke gemessen wurde, ist der Skoda ja deutlich besser.

Die Skoda Schrift hätte man aber dezenter am Heck platzieren können. Am besten aber wäre gar nix hinten. So sieht’s halt schon wieder richtig beschissen aus. Hoffe der kommt noch mit 2L und +200PS.

I have a question. We have the 1.5 L Skoda Slavia. The top speed of that as tested is 210 kmph. Why is the top speed of this car 240? They are the same engine. Is it because of the drag coefficient?

It has adaptive suspension, you can use comfort, normal, sport etc

Vmax 1.5l TSI is official 230km/h

@@emanuelegagliardi2933 .The speedometer allways has a positive tolerance.I have the same model and it run also 245 ar speedometer. GPS measure was 233km/h

It was in very straight flat road, tomorrow pov video, you will see that autobahn is so flat, no downhill

I am pretty disappointed with VW group to have worse optimised EU cars for consumption then those for american market!!it is unbelievable that american jetta with older 1,4tsi engine and 147/150hp consume less fuel then 1,5tsi for EU or even less then new diesels!!wtf VW??

You can cover 400 km at 200 kmh and 800 km at normal highway speed. It is more than enough. No one stays more than 3-4 hours driving without a break.

@@Mr11ESSE111 How can you find issue with this? Most people will be getting 800km easily out of this all the time. How is that not far enough? That's 3 weeks for the average car owner. Or 800km of driving without filling up on a long trip. 800km to stop for 5 minutes to fill up. Jesus wept you're unbearable. EDIT: Also both the diesel and petrol models have 45l tanks. There is no difference. Check your dumb statements before you write them (but I suppose that would be expecting a miracle with you)
