**Quick note - After some confusion with the rules for this week's game, I played and recorded with some 'house rules' that (after checking with the designer) weren't exactly what they had envisioned. Nonetheless, I hope this playthrough gives you a bit of a taste for The Last Yithian - make sure if you play it to check the BGG thread with the rules clarifications :) **

The dice manipulations you build up over time are pretty neat - like a little engine builder.

Yummmmmm, dice! I'm guessing you were using those manipulation cards incorrectly since you won the game so quickly. You could also make the game tougher by making the dice requirement on the ability cards also color coded so you don't just need two 4s but one purple 4 and one pink 4. Always love a good dice game!

Do I understand correctly that the icons next to the images of dice, except for the icon - time, do not have any meaning? And if so, what are they there for?

Yes, good catch - the icons just seem to represent the numbers themselves - so the explosions are ‘attack’ which are 6s, the timers are ‘time’ which require the 1s, 2s & 3s, etc. Probably not necessary in the grand scheme of things, but maybe future mechanisms could involve them? In the first round when you got 2 dead planets, your round should have ended. You had 4 skills, meaning you played 4 turns. Your 2 dead planets would have dropped your turn to 0. Doesn't effect anything in the long run short of maybe changing the skills available at the start of Round 2? Doubt it would change much aside from maybe taking a turn or two longer, maybe? Though maybe not since you had so many skills.

Thanks for the video, this game from the contest is also still not for me I still think that this year's games suck, let's see in the next week if it will be improved 😁
