I’m super interested in this race. I have the same spec 2019 m240i but haven’t had the chance to run against a Supra. Either way the b58 engine in both of these cars is the real deal.

Ah man, I get all the feels on the rolls. After experiencing them I get nervous for the drivers...."dont eff up...dont eff up" these were good races. The M240i looks like such a fun car to drive and the Supra, man the Supra is just gorgeous.

I'm m240i xdrive owner. Before I purchased it,I tried z4 supra as well.Even Z4 can't beat supra. Supra is a competition car for Toyota, but m240i z4 are grand touring cars.

I discovered another neat little car that rose to the top of my list as my next option. The M240i. It also has the B58. So my next choices are a Supra, M240i, or M4. I am leaning towards the M240i because of the price, B58, and extra space. I will contact Darwinpro to see if their F22/M2 spoiler wing fits on the M240i. It is the best wing on the market for the 2 series BMW cars, and I rarely see it on any cars in pictures. This is what I am thinking about my next car. I have researched the F82 and A90 Supra. Now I have discovered this neat little M240i car with the x-Drive option. I think my next car in the future will be a 2017-2020 M240i because of the price, AWD x-Drive option, it has the B58 engine, and it has the extra car space I like.

When they switched drivers the guy with the glasses didn’t have the m240i in launch control. Either he wasn’t in sport + or he didn’t have the gas to the floor past the “ledge”. When your truly in launch mode the car won’t creep forwards

that was a race with no lies. No remap, no wrong weight or lightened vehicle somehow. This is how should be difference between those two on perfect dry surface, with decent tyres. Bmw is a lot heavyer and has less power.

I love my M240i and was fortunate enough to buy one early on in the pandemic when dealers were desperate to get rid of inventory. My M240i was $30k USD with 10k miles and now CarMax offered me $34k with 32k miles last month. With 3 simple mods and tune I was able to make close to 600whp without spending over $4k total, B58 is a great platform and probably best bang for buck.

Pretty sure the motors put out the same power its just the extra weight and awd losing more power makes the bmw a little bit slower. Bmw sure likes to underrate their cars.

First the price. Before the chip shortage the m240i could be had for a better discount than a supra. Especially when it comes to leasing. M240i can be negotiated for a 525 to 550$ lease monthly before chip shortage. Supra lease prices Are astronomical to say the least and many Toyota dealers sell it at a premium at almost m2 prices. M240i xdrive comes with all wheel drive and all season tires which have poor performance. M240i has adaptive suspension so the ride quality is better for long drives. It so a comfortable touring car which is also sporty..

240i needs to make up more off the line other wise supra is lighter with more powa.

I think that Supra is tuned, B58 against a B58TU the delta is only 40hp more and 200lbs less. They should of kept head to head. I raced the Supra GR before in my 240 when it was stock and it was a tie.

Supra properly launched will run low 12 second quarter mile even a high 11.

The M240 is detuned so its less power but they got the same engine.

Not bad for the M240i considering its half the price, cheaper to run, and dosent look childish... Like the crazy Bat Mobile styling of the Supra. There's a man at work in his late 40's who drives a GR Supra with stripes right down the middle of it, every time you see it the only thing that comes to mind is "what on earth is wrong with you" Still each to their own I suppose 🙄🤷🏻‍♂️
