Japanese cars have so much better engineered powertrains than the Korean competition. This car is really economic and quick as well (for it's rated horsepower) and in general Suzuki's have a nimble chassis and low maintenace costs as well. I would prefer this any day over any Kia or Hyundai.

Korean cars nowadays provide un-correspondent long warranty, which does not reflect their true quality (Koreans score very low in annual TÜV reports). This is the true reason why Hyundai-Kia group has very low net profit per unit, comparing to Toyota or Honda.

After Driving a Vitara 129hp allgrip for 1 year as a forester i can say that i use 6,6l on average with all weather tires and 75% road 25% offroad use, which is not more but less than a Tiguan 2.0 TDI 4Motion would consume. Indeed, its noisy above 130 kmh but i rarely drive it above these speed. With the correct tires its relatively decent offroad (with a installed aftermarket 30mm lifting kit) as well as maneuverably (which is key in turning in small forest roads). As today I wouldnt trade the Vitara for a Duster or a different new vehicle in this price class because of overall cost efficientness as well as durability and equipment. You can get these for as low as 23k € new with full spec equipment and get 5 years warranty, what do you want more?

Mild hybrid system makes it slower but reaching farther with one tankfill.

Ist bei diesem Modell der Allradantrieb notwendig und gibt es eine Skizze oder ist der Hinterachsantrieb dabei?

Es gibt den Vitara mit Allgrip ("Haldex" Allrad, bei dem die Hinterachse bei Bedarf zugeschaltet wird, bzw im Lock Modus bis 60kmh die Kraft 50:50 verteilt wird) oder als reinen Frontantrieb. Wer nur in der Stadt fährt braucht den Allgrip nicht, zumal alle 50/60tsd km das Verteilergetribe gewartet werden muss (ölwechsel) und der Allgrip so oder so etwas mehr verbraucht

How does it feel in start - stop traffic with engine stop function engaged? I read somewhere that it can also creep slowly on battery power, but I don't know how convenient/practical this is in real situation. This is more important to me than max speed.

Start Stop work like a charm. You will not notice even that it is working!

Wir testen im April auch den SX4 S-Cross. Bisher hat uns der Vitara aber sehr gut gefallen. Welcher besser ist wissen wir allerdings erst dann.

Price and equipment differs from country to country. So I don't believe it's relevant. Videos are just fine and they post every day.

It doesn't make a big diffenece for the acceleration time only the sensibility of the throttle.

@@seirios76 Exactly so. There are few things unexpectedly better on this car. It practically means sending more torque to the wheels, even conpared to the manual transmission 2wd version, and faster than 4wd manual.

You've probably missed the last 7 years or something. Anyway the engine(yes,only one engine option available with manual transmission) is OK in this car but there are other issues. Not to mention the mid 2000s look and feel.

lo que NO ME GUSTA del Suzuki Grand Vitara es: los caballos de potencia asi como la Fuerza de Torque ya que en pendientes o subidas mayores a 30° grados de inclinación NO SUBE y termina quedándose... debería la marca japonesa desarrollar un Suzuki con Caballos de Fuerza (CV) de al menos 180 y un Torque de mínimo 220... ESAS DEBERÍAN SER UNA DE LAS PRUEBAS a someter a las nuevas Suzukis como a cualquiera otro vehículo, observar cómo se desempeña en pendientes sumamente elevadas.

Now tell me what is good above 160kph on fuel. Nothing. It's inefficient to go that speed, that's why.

@@Mr11ESSE111 To get 10l/100km at 200kph is borderline a miracle. Possible - cars with very low drag coefficients and smaller diesel engines probably could manage it, but we're talking a tiny proportion of existing production vehicles. To expect a turbo petrol SUV to do the same is like standing at an ATM and trying to use the power of wishful thinking for it to give you money.

@@CheesemanGT Don't mind him. He always says the same thing about every car and somehow another car consumes better than the one presented. 10 l at 160 km/h for a petrol SUV is just perfect.

Total unrealistic range you are showing on the dashboard. The measured comsumption while driving is never correct. Fill it up, drive 600-700 km and fill it up again, thats the consumption in real life. I owe a 1400 Vitara all grip automatic and use 6.4 l/100 km in avarage traffic. No new Vitara will do 4 l/100 km, not even the hybrid.

This is only the flat highway fuel consumption test without wind, even at 120 kmh with 5.8 liter. Of course average is always higher. If lots city of course lower range. Its just here flat road highway consumption, it coult hit over 1200 km range if you drive all time on flat road with low speed. I have long road trip experience and test many different cars and drive alot with different speed etc. Maybe you live in hilly area where lots hills or many traffic light where you lots stop and go, it does go high. Why not try 1000 km road trip with 100 kmh with less traffic

omg... all those plastics looking horrible.. insane sharp edges... back bumper looks like it's car from 2005. Even old Grand Vitara was looking more sexy for that time.

@@CastleKnight7 I'm not saying anything about driving the car, I'm sure I would be impressed. I'm saying that *plastics looks horrible* . I was working with plastics for years and injection molding so i can see from photos/video what is bad plastic. 3:43 just look at those inside of trunk, cheapest as possible.... my 12yr old ford has hard canvas still looking as new and that plastic will be scratched all over just after 2, 3 years. Also look at that black plastic from side of back tail lights ? wtf is that ?

Nikako se ne slažem. Meni se izgled itekako dopada. Plastika ima svoju svrhu, pogotovo za ovakav jedan auto koji nudi dobre off road performance uz odličnu gradsku voznju i funkcionalnost. U poređenju sa nekim danas popularnim autima da, izgled jeste zastareo, ali meni to nimalo ne smeta, cak i gotivim
