Күн бұрынIn this video, I share my techniques I've learned through trial and error when installing paint protection film. I installed STEK Dynoshield PPF on this 2021 Tesla Model Y. I covered the front bumper and on a later date, the four doors.
I share my techniques for installing PPF with no seams on this Tesla Model Y. It's a bit difficult at first but like all things in life, gets easier the more you do it.

Can we get a video on that water deionizer set up. Did it you plumb it in from the outside? What system is that. How often do you replace resin. Looks nice!

Thank you! For an entire car I’d recommend a whole roll of 60”. Which is typically 50 feet.

Great video Derrick! I’m thinking of doing this as a side job. As an installer, is it easier to do bulk installs or precut? I’m guessing precut cost more but takes less time to install. Thanks man.

Pre cut kits are usually easier. And yes you’re right on price vs time.

I see you cut the film, but it is unclear in the video, how far the cut is from the edge (?) I like the fact that you used roll film instead of pre-cut film.

Quick question, when you are backrolling the PPF on the bumper do have have the liner side out or film side out or does it make a difference?

Have you PPF'd any 4runner? You should do a detailed install on them bumpers. Much harder (IMO) than the tesla. I'm no installer but wanted to see how you'd go about it using bulk to do it. Been searching and I don't think there's any video showing any 4runners bulk wrapping, let along pre cut kits.

Not usually. It happens sometimes but I’m usually able to get it out during the install.

I cut around them. I’ve seen some cars without the cut around though. 🤷🏽♂️

Nowadays I don’t cut around the sensors.
