Once in a life experience I had in 2022 over Spring Break. Simply want to share with you, enabling you to learn and share with others, so you can also get excited about The Fred Bear Way!
In this ~17 minute video, you will see an overview via a physical walkthrough of both Compound and Traditional manufacturing at Bear Archery, all done in Gainesville, Florida, USA. [PLUS, a special 'sneak peak' into "The Vault" for you]
A special thanks to Neil, Jared, and Mike for making this happen. It was not only awesome to spend the time with Neil and Jared, getting the first hand experience and stories about Fred Bear, but I also feel blessed to be able to share some of this with you.
I am hopeful to have future opportunities to do this again, enabling me to better capture so many of these stories, so they can be passed on for future generations of archers around the world.

I met Fred Bear in his office in Gainesville back in 1983. He was my childhood hero! I still have pics of me and Mr Bear and my Father.

Wow, that's awesome! I am sure the memories must be great. What a fantastic opportunity. It was surreal to be sitting in his office and being told all the stories from Neil Byce III. Great stuff!!!

I was at the Bear factory this week. We were just passing through town. I really wanted to do the factory tour. The guy in the pro shop said the had stopped doing public tours over 20 years ago. They stopped after selling the Bear museum to Bass Pro. I did pickup a really nice Bear Kodiak take down riser. Thank for posting.

I away knew that Bear archery is excellent in making bows, especially recurves. Well made presentation of your plant, I assume you all are on the path Fred Bear started to go.... greetings from Germany.....

I hadn’t been around archery for several years now . I had thought Bear Archery except the traditional equipment was made in China . Good to know it’s made in the USA. I was a Fred Bear fan but not always a fan of the compounds. They just weren’t up to the quality or performance standards of other companies. But I started shooting in this industry in 1972 . I know many people are older and shooting longer that love the bear compound products. When Bear Archery brought in Tom Jennings I started liking the Bear compound Bows . I have always wanted the Fred Bear takedown recurve . Watched him hunt with it as a kid and loved the design. Coolest takedown ever

Glad to be able to share this video. Was such a 'once in a lifetime opportunity' for me, and I learned so much. Made in the USA for 90 years. All the green machines in the video, are the originals from Michigan now running in Florida. Amazing equipment, stories, and people. Pleasure to meet you.

It was a huge disappointment when bear left Michigan. But glad they still make a quality product.

Have enjoyed shooting the Species over the years, and the new Adapt (The Hunting Public) from Bear is no exception. Highly recommend going out and shooting the Adapt. Nice smooth draw and release!

Too bad they don't have the 6 months of tournament around the Bear museum property like they used to. A bunch of guys and ladies would go to every shoot. I won a few times, great times

Thanks for the tour. It would have been even better from the perspective of a traditional shooter, you know the essence of bear archery. Just glossing over the traditional bows seemed like an injustice to his legacy.

Will get more next time. Wanted to share this. Focus on traditional is ~11-15 minutes. Agree a lot of legacy with Fred Bear in traditional, and I love shooting my takedown and also my grizzly. Thanks for your comment!

Thats some weird editing. Talking about interesting history but edit cuts middle of sentences. What a shame.

Sorry if I missed something. Nothing intended. Do all my own editing. Will need to re-review. Certainly wanted to simply get this experience out, share with others, so they could also learn and experience. Thanks for the feedback!
