Re: the seat rattling - these press cars get driven by all types (and shapes) of journalists and are really put through the ringer. Clearly this one has been sat in by at least one (maybe a few drivers) who didn’t fit and broke part of the seat. I haven’t had any rattles or creaks on the multiple M3s and M4s I’ve driven with the same seats.

ABOUT TIME!!! After you drove the M5 Competition I was thinking that he should definitely have the chance to drive the M5 CS 🙌🙌 BMW really made the ultimate M5 here, and that 4.4L V8 making 627 HP wasted no power, and yes, the speed is incredible as expected of those crafty Germans 👍👍

This CS, or a CT5 BlackWing 6mt and $40-55k in your pocket? Once you take the price and the manual away, the M5CS is hard to beat. But if you are a save the manuals guy, the BlackWing is the only choice in the segment.

Hearing the constant interior creaking throughout the video was beyond disappointing. Even my 6 year old X5 with 100k on it doesn’t sound nearly as bad.

The suspension is going to be much stiffer, thus more harsh of a ride. With all of the interior pieces, some things are going to creak.

@@Nooooahhh The suspension being stiffer has absolutely nothing to do with the interior squeaking if it’s actually built properly. I’ve been in ferraris and Porsche’s with equally stiff suspensions that did not make a peep.

Rattles are due to this car having a lot of riders putting it thru the ringer, 1 of them probably didn't fit and broke the seat. He explained that in a comment

I have an m340i (first BMW I’ve owned) and the best feeling is having absolutely no rattles while driving. I would be surprised to see this have rattles

@@ruhirahman3179 -- The 3-series is notorious for squeaks, rattles, and buzzing sounds. I've driven four G20 3-series and EVERY single one of them had rattles or buzzing sounds. Also, every single F30 3-series I've ever been in has rattles or buzzing sounds as well, including my own. My F30, purchased new in 2016, has more rattles and buzzing than any other car I've ever owned in my life -- no exaggerating. It even beats out the 2002 Elantra I had for 11 years.

This is what BMWs used to be. Sharp, good looking machines that have this duality. Cars that are engaging and that talk to you. It’s unfortunate that now to get this type of experience it happens to be so expensive.

Yeah I'd probably open the hood after a drive like that! These turbo cars get very hot - totally worth it though in this case. And I still maintain the 5-series is among the few truly beautiful BMWs one can buy these days. This might be the ultimate BMW if not just the ultimate 5-series.

@@brathersadda9436 While yes you are correct, the m5 is still suppose to be a luxury car, the level of creeks is beyond any other "race car" I've been in. Even my Kia stinger has almost no creeks and rattles

@@brathersadda9436 Ive driven one Lambo, one McLaren, three Porsches, a couple corvettes, and a couple of higher end amgs, aside from the amgs none of those cars had excessive creeking and rattling. I also own a 280z and I purpose built it to be a track car, it rattles and creeks like hell, I have no problem with that since it's 50 years old and I built it. The point though is the M5 is based on a luxury car platform that can be tracked. A little creek and rattle here is nothing to cry about but there is a lot in this video, guess I can save my judgement when I drive one though.

Youre right, M5 is based on a luxury platform for the track, but the M5 Cs is more of a track/family race car thus the noise. Therefore obviously they sacrificed the luxury essence of it
