This week Chase is back on a Ducati Panigale. This time it's a 2022 Ducati Panigale V2! Basically a 1000cc bike that rides like a middleweight 600 that costs the same as a 1000. Who knows where it belongs but there's two things we know. It's gunna look gorgeous and it's going to be fast as f@%k!

I love my Ducati V2. It makes me smile every time I ride it. I have ridden Hondas and Suzukis but there is something special about Ducatis. The looks alone is worth a million! When I go into my garage to get something I cannot help staring at it for a few minutes. I also enjoy doing all the maintenance on it myself. It is not that hard if you have the right tools and follow steps. Saves you a lot of money.

I like doing my own maintenance as well but unfortunately Ducati forced me to bring in my V2 for service to clear the service light and run ecu updates. Shame b/c oil changes are so easy on this bike.

I chose the Ducati V2 and I do not regret it at all. I’ve had the new generation R6 and I can say this bike is worth every penny. @@rogerseelbach5330 the heat is definitely an issue. I got the heat shielding kit from Ducati spacers and it definitely made a difference. The power is more than enough it honestly it’s a better street bike bc it does have some low down torque. As far as the mirror situation goes I used some foam to help the vibration. I had the bad end mirrors but I didn’t like them as much so I just went back to the stock mirrors.

I got this 2022 panigale v2 and just installed the arrow slip on titanium exhaust and Ducati flashed with their Racing Evo tune and it’s like having a whole new bike, I loved it before but now I’m obsessed now with the sound and the acceleration it has, I live in FL so got a lot of high speed road with nice curves so I get to ride it hard all the time and I agree that don’t need any more power than what it has.

I'd go with the Japanese bike simply because there's a lack of service for a Ducati near me. There isn't even a true Suzuki dealership nearby. Hello, Honda and Honda reliability. Not nearly as cool, but riding is so much cooler than waiting a month or more for service.

That "start-up" thing that you talk about at 21:58 when you let the clutch out is "Throttle Response". The Throttle Response can be adjusted in the settings. When the bike is in Street or Sport mode, then the default Throttle Response is "soft". When the bike is in Race mode, the Throttle Response is in what Ducati calls "Dynamic". You can also adjust the Throttle Response so that it can be in Dynamic while the bike is in Street or Sport mode. I always have my Panigale V2 in Race mode unless it's raining outside. Ducati gives us so much freedom with the adjustments.

Chase, my man, I can't thank you enough for making such contents which helped me so much in making my decision. I got my first ever Ducati and it's the 2024 Panigale V2 in Black. And my man, I cannot agree more with everything you said in this video. What a motorcycle!!! I came from KTM 1290 SuperDuke R and I was a bit nervous if this would be powerful enough but it didn't disappoint at all :D
@MrWallexxx
@MrWallexxx 7 ай бұрын
Hey I’m considering the streetfighter v2 and the super duke 1290 r evo since they are very close in price. Why did you trade “down”? To me it seems that the super duke has more power, better suspension and brakes. Would like to know why you made the switch!
@deepsahoo5297
@deepsahoo5297 7 ай бұрын
@@MrWallexxx I chose the 1290 SuperDuke R back then coz I wanted to have something that I can ride daily. It's a very comfortable bike and very easy to ride despite of its beefy engine. I absolutely loved it and would recommend to anyone. The reason I switched is the wind force while riding on the highways is not very comfortable at times. Any time I go over 135 mph I found myself not comfortable. With this motorcycle you would want to push the limits sometimes and I found that at higher speeds I am not enjoying it as much as I wanted to. But on the streets it was just so easy and comfortable. Now I only ride on the weekends since I work remotely so the Panigale V2 gives me the thrill I needed. I am on open roads most of the time so this worked out for me. Also, this being a twin engine, it has the grunt and the low end torque I wanted. So glad there's a supersport with a twin engine that looks so good. If you ever had a motorcycle with twin engine you will know what I mean ;)
@MrWallexxx
@MrWallexxx 7 ай бұрын
@@deepsahoo5297 thanks for the detailed reply! I’ve heard so much good about the super duke but the only thing that makes me feel reluctant is the reliability. Ktm is somewhat notoriously unreliable.. I don’t want to put 20k into a bike and wonder if it’s going to give me problems. I dont really get much time to ride so when I do get to go, I don’t wanna be let down bc the bike is in the shop for 3 weeks for something dumb. Currently own a speed twin 1200 so I do like the torque on the bike but it’s down on power and handling so thats why I’m considering the upgrade. Panigale platform is the best looking bike out there imo!
@deepsahoo5297
@deepsahoo5297 7 ай бұрын
@@MrWallexxx Totally hear you my friend. If you are looking for a less wait time at the shop then neither KTM nor Ducati are better at it. Parts come from outside US and they always take time if they are not available at local dealer. However, I got extended warranty for 5+1 year on the KTM and I got my tank replaced due to an issue with the gas flow (2nd year of ownership). The dealer got the part ordered just within 2 weeks and i got it replaced in no time. I didn't pay anything out of pocket including labor. I never had any problems with it ever since during my 5-6 years of ownership. This is how I look at it, regardless of what you get if you have a major issue with the motorcycle you are going to spend the time and money to fix it. Life is short, get what you really like man. These things are designed to last. Just ride safe and take care of your purchase as you would do with any motorcycle.

I own a V2 and recently got a chance riding a V4. Contradict most reviews, surprisingly I found V4 is actually the easier one (although more heat) to ride in the city/street, plusher at lower rev, smoother for stop and go traffic. Probably due to the four-cylinders nature? Anyone who shares the same feeling? Considering trading my v2 for a used V4 if there’s one coming out to the market.

I've never ridden a Panigale V4, but I have ridden a Streetfighter V4S. You are correct. The Streetfighter V4s is WAY easier to ride than my Panigale V2. OC: I would choose the Ducati over the JDM. You really can't beat Ducati when it comes to the looks of a bike. Ducati knock it outta the park consistently. One requirement of ownership of a Panigale that Chase didn't mention is on top of the sticker price of the bike, is the money you'll definitely spend at a chiropractor's office. I owned a 959 and at first loved it, despite riding it during summer in Georgia. My mind loved the looks and the speed, but my back was like waiter this isn't what I ordered. It's the reason if I got another Ducati I'm certain it'll be a Ducati Streetfighter V2 or maybe V4.

He did a video on the CBR 650R which has the same engine, frame and components. Might be worth watching that to see what he thinks! Only things that'll be different is the seating position and wind protection as the CBR has fairings and CB doesnt.

V2 is 155hp.. faster bike than the 600’s, and 750’s. The R1 is of course faster. But, on the track or twisty’s the V2 runs with all the liter bikes… I ride with S1k’s and R1’s all the time. On the straight Highway roll racing is where you will see the liter bikes out run the V2. However, from a dead stop.. my V2 has out ran liter bikes up to 150mph just because of the electronics keeping the front wheel down. Thought I’d respond because I see a reply that said 140hp… that’s incorrect. 👍🏻

This bike is amazing, but... I'm kinda leaning towards either the Streetfighter V2 or (more likely) the Hypermotard 950 SP. Was also looking at the Monster SP, but that one, I already have a 1000cc 4-cyl that i like (CB1000R black Edition that loves to scream!). NOt sure I'd get this one. As for the shifting... My 1000cc naked, I could probably make a trip to the supermarket, or anywhere in town, maybe even small highway, and keep it in first gear without red lining it. WOuldn't go crazy speed, but you could... Kinda an automatic? j/k.

God I hate catching a video on the premiere. I can never time it perfectly so that I am there from the moment it starts, so I always have to spend those first few minutes confused and feeling like there is something wrong with the video before realizing it's a damned premiere, so I have to back track it to the beginning, but not the actual beginning, since YT puts that stupid countdown on it, so I have to scrub through to the actual beginning of the video... what a massive pain in the ass.

I just got mine and I installed the heat spacers which reduces the heat by around 20-30%. It feels warm and nothing that is unbearable. But you will definitely feel it in start and stop traffic. I only take it out on the weekend mornings for fun when there's not much traffic and I haven't had any heat concerns so far.

if I wanted a supersport, I'd get either a CBR1000RRR whatever, though the price of this bike is quite high. I have always been a Kawi guy, bu tlately, the ZX-10R new design I'm not a huge fan of how it feels (pegs too high, not as much of a road bike as it used to be) and I'd probably go for a GSR-R1000 over this? This has more tech, but. EIther way, I'm more likely to go for a naked now a days. like Sttreet triple RS or XSR900 or z900RS, or even a Monster SP over this. For track, as I stated below, I'd get th Hypermotard. 950 SP. or RVE. OC
