Oh yeah👍👍 your reviews are always so well done! Loving the thoroughness. Like I’ve said before, I wouldn’t buy a bike without watching a NothingToProve review of it first. Thank you

I came directly from the Ducati website and yours was the first review I found. What a great looking sporty and seemingly capable bike. As far as personal tastes go I always find rarely do manufacturers are able to come out with a nice balance. This seems to me like an attractive high quality medium sized yet reliable and fun and functional toy lol. Thank you for being mindful to mention how it stacks up with the other 2 favs of mine the Guzzi and the Triumph. Great review! Cheers!

I've got a scrambler icon , great bike but needs a few improvements , the rear shock is over sprung and under damped , changed it for a Hagon unit , vast improvement , whilst changing the shock I removed the collector box / silencer it weighs over a stone so that didn't go back on I've replaced it with a small silencer with removable baffle and a connecting pipe for just a little over a £100 , it's made a lot of difference , your feet don't touch down on corners and it sounds great .

Liked it so much you got choked up about it. Nice review, I just wish Ducati could find a way to drop the price on these a bit. Considering the service intervals are so costly I'd like to see the purchase price come down a bit so it's more competitive.

A KTM 890 is cheaper where I am and it has better specs.
@hawkwood64052 жыл бұрын
That bike is dripping with character. I love the mechanical clatter of an air cooled motor. A little pricy for the spec IMO however. Single front disk, single piston rear caliper, nonadjustable suspension, basic instrumentation and tubed tires. Great starter bike for a hipster with cash to burn. I'd love to see BMW come out with a modern R800 bargain spec retro boxer platform, A little brother to the R9T for a good price, now that would be a hit.
@NothingToProve2 жыл бұрын
Hmm...interesting idea for BMW. I think it would sell, IF they keep the price down. Maybe bring back the original R80 motor (from 1980 to 83) now that'd be an interesting bike! Take care, Scott

Factor in maintenance, and I would take the V7 then the w800 over the Ducati. Fun factor, Ducati.

The Scrambler looks so much better with 17 inch wheels front and back. This is how it should be out of the box. Still think it needs a beefier tank, (like the 1100) but overall much improved. The urban motard is a bit of a misnomer. Maybe just the Urban Scrambler would be better.

Awww yea here we go we are so close to a hyper motard review we are one word away from that bike, just the wrong motard. 😂 Hypermotard hype. Thank you for continuing to try to get bikes we ask for. This scrambler seems like a solid package. But we all kind of knew that. I swear there’s not a single review of a hyper Motard from a channel anywhere near your caliber. I literally can’t even tell what category to consider it in. They don’t seem to be sold at my only local Ducati dealer unless it’s special order so I can’t find one to check out for the life of me but the top spec hyper motard seems like a beast of a machine.

@@tonykisvardai2346 so I just checked and I have actually watched some of his hyper motard videos. Only issue is there’s like 10 of them and none of them are actually like a proper review like NTP does. He uses some general language to describe the bike in the video where he picks it up etc…and it’s a good video, but it’s not really a thorough review or comparison to other bikes it competes against etc. maybe if I watched all of the videos that he has with the 950sp i would get a better idea admittedly.

5 or 6 years ago, I was close to getting one of these but ended up getting a great deal on a 690 duke for >3K less than the ducati. i loved the looks of this bike but could not justify the extra cost. the duke has been great and once general inventory levels of bike are up, allowing for better price deals, i will be adding a larger bike for longer distance riding.
@fredperiquet147611 ай бұрын
I went from a 2014 690 Duke to this bike. (Thumper ) was a great bike, but, I like how smooth and shorter to fit me . I’m 5’7 and my feet barely touched the ground on the KTM.
@meattooth130311 ай бұрын
@@fredperiquet1476 sold the duke and got a '22 triumph t120 in april. i am 6'3" and the t120 actually has similar dims and riding position as the ktm. but it has a 1200 twin and weighs 200 more lbs. much smoother ride and planted when on highways and interstates.

Running 17" street tyres on this bike is doing a disservice to the entire point of owning a 'Scrambler' in the first place. A decent set of 80/10's let you exploit so much more terrain while being plenty sticky for road work. If you've never taken one off road you'd be surprised how capable they are. I'll take mine anywhere a 250 kg 'adventure' would dare to tread any time.

Really enjoy your reviews and signature 👍BOOM👍BOOM! What about engine heat? I had a 2020 Scrambler 1100 Sport and sold it with under 1,000 miles due to excessive engine heat, mostly on right side where exhaust pipes run higher than on the Scrambler 800. The heat was especially unbearable during in-town traffic riding. How is the engine heat on the Scrambler 800, which the exhaust pipe set lower?
@NothingToProve2 жыл бұрын
Thank you. Yea, the heat is still there just not as much, it is a lot more bearable, this is also why I'd buy the 803 over the 1100. The 1100 is just too much motor for a scrambler imho.

It can not be any hotter in summer then my 2008 Aprilia Shiver 750 in hot Northern Australia. It's long rides only, no city stuff. Winter is a different story.

Well, been trying to do the 1000SX since last summer but they are very hard to come by but that is true with almost all bikes right now. Kawasaki no longer sells the 6R in Europe :( So can't get my hands on that either. I owned a zx6r back in the early 2000's and just did track days on it, loved the bike, abused it every moment on the track and it never once failed to start or let me down, great bike. Take care, Scott

I have just bought one of these, and I have to say, the suspension is absolute rubbish. Once I have it fixed it should be an enjoyable bike. It's a additional cost I should not have to be paying for a new, premium branded bike.
