Today, I am sharing my favorite video to make this time every year! This is my Clean and Decorate With Me For Fall video where I'll be sharing a couple of days of seasonal cleaning and decluttering I do (wait until you see this fridge!)
We wrap up the video with a decorating session featuring some natural beauty we pick from the garden and our property paired with some new and old pieces of autumn decor to put around our home!
I always want to encourage you that you don't have to keep up with the joneses or break the bank to have a cozy and inviting home for you, your family and your guests. All it takes is a touch here and there and some budget-friendly finds to refresh your space for the season!

Natalie, this video makes me so sentimental. I have watched your nostalgic, cozy videos for so long and envied (a little) your seemingly drama-free family, your cozy minimal home with tasteful decor, etc. I have actually idolized created a HOME. We didn’t have ANY money, my husband was working toward getting a job for so long after we came back after teaching in China, and I just felt so weary for so long of not having a home. Lately it’s finally happening. For a few months he’s had a more amazing job than we prayed for, and the home we’ve been in started feeling so much more like a home the past couple weeks. It feels like it’s all clicking into place. It’s the best feeling to be content with your home. And I really haven’t spent any money at all to force it to happen, we’ve just had time to settle.

My friend works for costcos customer service dept. you can return anything you’ve ever bought at Costco and get your money back, even if it’s been years even if you don’t have a receipt even if you don’t have a membership there anymore. Take that couch back get your money back and go buy something nice! 😊

I'm not sure that's fair (just a personal opinion). I get the idea and the customer service aspect. If it's been years, it means that you can give back sth that's basically trash 🤷🏼‍♀️

Your whole #backtofall series every year helps me to transition from summer to fall and I love it. We are so blessed to live in the PNW where the mountains and trees are the cozy atmosphere that helps us to be #readyforfall as we get to experience the crisper air in the mornings and evenings. On these cooler evenings and days it is like the evergreen trees turn up their scents as well to help us remember that even though the leaves maybe starting to change and fall off the trees but there are still are majestic ones that survive and thrive during fall. I love how you are a reminder of how we can be a balanced life of a Martha and a Mary and I truly appreciate that so much. Thank you so much.

I'm not sure why exactly, but I was so moved by this video. My favorite fall video I've seen in a long time. It was cozy, relaxing and the simplicity refreshing. 🍂 I just want to say thank you for helping my attitude. I work outside the home full time and sometimes I'm a bit resentful having to take care of dishes or something that needs clean after a day of work. Something about this video make me realize that I should be thankful I get to take care of my home. Your videos are often my entertainment while I wash my dishes. I've gotten in the habit of lighting a candle after I'm done, I have a yummy fall scent burning and it just makes me happy. I love the lights on your bed, so pretty and cozy.

We have had the IKEA Norsborg couch for 6 years and it honestly looks and feels brand new! We have 3 children under 5. It’s a dark gray modular couch and it’s one of the comfiest couches I’ve sat on. I was very surprised at the quality. My favorite part is that every single fabric part of the couch (cushions, arms, etc.) zips off and it’s all washing machine and dryer safe!!! A must with 3 children under 5.

HIGHKY recommend the IKEA Uppland couches! There’s no storage… but room underneath for some slim bins. The upholstery is all fitted slip covers that wash up really well in the washing machine, and you can even purchase an extra cover set so that when you wash one you’ll just have a clean one ready to put on. The covers don’t slip around when you sit on them either. We have two boys, three dogs and three cats and nothing is falling apart on our set yet. The frames have a 10 year warranty and they are priced pretty well compared to other couches. We have the love seat and the chaise couch and love them still over a year later. ❤️

If you're looking for a new couch, I recommend Love Sacs. It is sectionals that you can buy in pieces and rearrange as you need. Lots of different colors and upholstery options. Not cheap, but comfortable and adaptable. That room needs something with some scale to it.

🍂 Our church has a big hayride/bonfire party each fall, and I look so forward to it every year. Even if the evening starts hot (it's still hot in KS), it's cool after dark. It's one of my favorite fall traditions!

This is our first real home so we’ve never really decorated for fall before, other then a few pumpkins. Love watching your vlogs! Helpful tip w flowers or bouquets would be to make sure no leaves are submerged because they harbor bacteria and cause the flowers to die quicker. Since learning this tip my flowers have last SO much longer. ☺️

For your front door they sell replacement Window panes! There are little plugs over the screws on the trim and you can just get the one you choose from like home depot! It’s easy!

Dock seeds can be ground into a flour that's super tasty. Us herbalists also use the roots as medicine. Great for the liver & kidneys! ☺️ Love that you're using them for decor!

The old cannery has AMAZING couches. It’s located in sumner. I got a Stanton and you can customize them to be the shape you want. Stanton’s come with lifetime warranty. And they have an ottoman with storage that my husband and I love that hold our blankets. Also love your channel!! 🍂

I love the large vase with the dark floral stems you pulled from outside. Sometimes even the most simple decorations can be absolutely stunning. For the wreath above the stove, could you pop a few white floral picks into it? I agree with you the white could look great there.

We got our couch at furniture row, my husband really wanted one with recliners. It really doesn't look trendy but is very comfortable! Home reserve was one I was looking at and would've bought if our family didn't want the recliners, has storage in each part of the modular sectional, washable removable covers etc

Having worked in the furniture industry, Smith Brothers is my couch recommendation. They make incredible customizable pieces with solid wood maple frame and individual spring sets, and lifetime warranty on both aspects. They're a big investment but in my opinion the last couch you'd ever buy.

I also decorate in waves for the fall season 🍂. Really enjoy your fall videos. My favorite parts were the table center piece and the fall painting. I love to incorporate vintage pieces as well as things that have been in the family for awhile. Currently under a heat dome here in Southern California so it does not feel very fall, living vicariously through your moody cozy weather change 🍁🍂🍁.

We moved last summer right before you and have also spent the year renovating. I feel like we are close to the house feeling like our home. We don't really decorate for the different seasons in the UK apart from Christmas. Halloween has become a much bigger thing too. I have noticed more homes putting summer and autumn wreaths on their doors in recent years which is lovely.

We bought a couch from Wayfair over a year ago and so far it’s held up really well. The back cushions are attached to the frame with Velcro so I don’t think the tearing would be an issue. We spend a lot of time on the couch and it’s still in great shape. I’ve also shampooed it and it’s done well. Again, I don’t know the longevity of it as we’ve had it for about 26 months now but so far we love it.

🍂 I love your decorating style. The colors, different textures, the mood it represents, it all “melts” into the house. I love it! I’m currently crocheting a few pumpkins and gourds as decor. I made a few last year and I love them so much I have to make some more, so I can put them in different spots in the house.
