Couple things. It does have rev-match, the tires are close to 600 a piece not 300 and ppl want the handling package because it's track focused. Hence the cup2 tires, down force generated through the front splitter and gurney flap and the tremec.

"i wouldn't spend more without more functionality, Im not a visual guy" It has the gt500 sub frame, the suspension is largely upgrade, the transmission, cooling etc over a normal GT. The reason to buy the mach IS the functionality not just the looks. I came from a SS 1le (which is a drivers car) and the mach 1 is definitely a drivers car. Some more knowledge on this car would help but good to see a review.

This car is also made for people who want a V8 muscle car with a GOOD 6 speed manual -Tremec (vs MT-82) and the reliability and ease of power increase with the coyote 5.0. To me, this is the perfect S550 mustang. I wish the GT came with the Tremec. In that case, I’d take it over the Mach 1 purely based on price. And as far as visual/looks go, I love the GT500 elements of the rear diffuser, spoiler and I absolutely love the Handling Pack wheels.

The Most hardcore is the 2012 and 2013 BOSS 302...try one of those out!

That is a gorgeous car. Absolutely love the red. I've noticed almost every non-car person I've met likes the Mustang. And even though they are so popular and relatively cheap, they always looks so expensive and grab so much attention. Great review!

This car is to show and go. I have one for weekend fun as I’m retired and fortunate that can do that. Love the car lots of fun.

The splitter can be annoying but the only issue I had with it was getting out of my driveway the first 2 weeks I owned it until i got used to it. Otherwise it's not been an issue. I will say the hp is underrated. It def has more than 480. I also switched to 4s tires and ditched the cup 2s. They were awful on the road. Love my car and it has the performance, handling and appearance packages and I barely paid more than a gt premium. I do disagree about the torque. This motor has plenty down low and will pull a hill in 5th and 6th gear with zero problem.

Guys, your channel is INCREDIBLY underrated. I just discovered it and I'm in awe. Thanks for the car content and please keep kicking ass! Humble suggestion: with the market waning, maybe some related content would get good traffic! Performance bargains (new & used), price trends, etc.

I’m not a boomer and I bought a 2022 Mach 1 premium with HP. I had dealer remove the add on front splitter because I have a multiple speed bumps in my neighborhood. The owners manual actually says the gurney flap and front extras splitter are for track use only…I went with Mach 1 over GT because normal GT doesn’t have Shelby components and the Mach 1 is a limited production vehicle. Ford made twice has many GTs and Ecoboost than Mach 1s in 2022

2nd spoiler in the front is to offset the downforce of the gurney flap in the rea.

I have the 23 in this same race red color, manual with handling pack and it's just plain awesome. A pure blast to drive. The handling pack is worth it just for looks alone and i swapped the Cup 2's for the PS4S.

Sadly charlie there is those people will hate this car solely based on that its a ford or a mustang because they don't know how to appreciate things and follow the bandwagon of ignorant people

Mach 1 has the Magnaride suspension! Can't get it with a 5.0 PP1 or PP2. I'm a boomer and would track it, as I do with other cars 🙂

Mach 1 is the compromise if you don't want to spring for the GT500. I honestly don't know why they bother putting rear seats in the Mustang anyway, they're basically useless. I think the GT could easily be as much as this Mach 1, but Ford has established this hierarchy of the Mustang line. And you guys broke the rule of having the person recording not drive first!

the manual transmission in the regular GT is garbage. for me it was worth the extra money for the tremec alone.

I just have a Mach 1 (also red) without the Performance Pack. The reasons are (1) I don't intend to track it, and (2) my city is filled with speed bumps. I measured the height of the speed bumps and the PP spoiler won't clear them but the stock Mach 1 chin spoiler will clear them. Also, driveways with any degree of slope at the curb will also scrape the chin spoiler. I am completely satisfied with the stock setup.

The reason to not get a regular GT is the mt82 manual trans blows up on track so if you want a track 5.0 manual then yeah the Mach 1 is the one

I’m thinking of getting one without the “performance pack”, selling for $63. No big wing, no big lip to scrape, no Cup 2 tires and will use just for cruising on the street. Selling at MSRP. Nice sound really very 8:11 nice Tremec manual. Less tramlining. Fighter Jet Gray model looks great and car is simply a fun toy for senior boomers!

I’m actually thinking of trading my new BMW 230i coupe for a new 23 Mach 1 without the Performance pak trim. The 230i is a great car but this 23 Mach1 for $63 at MSRP seems like more fun than the 230i. But it’s a tough choice. Have you guys test driven the new 230i ? What’s you opinion ?

The P pack, I presume, is for people who prefer to pound the pits without being preoccupied with purchasing performance parts.

Bang for your buck is the base gt 6sp if you want to do your own upgrades. Mine was $41k, spent $1k on brake upgrades, $1k on gt350 rims & tires, $600 on chassis bracing and i was passing mach1's last summer on track nights.

Seriously guys. Drive a Prius.

I am really disappointed with your wrap up. You have a YT car review channel and you two sounded rather uneducated. I was ok with your review up until the wrap specifically when you said, “ This week we are driving 2 drivers cars and thinking back to that Mustang what it does well is make you feel cool, what it doesn’t do we’ll be a drivers car” “Yeah it isnot as satisfying to drive as say the CT4 V BW” Then you both ranted about of it it showed up as an auto it would sit for a week. A really pompous comment. As if the two of you are too good to drive the premier S550 5.0L Mustang. The S550 was in production for 9 Model Years so FORD had a decade to continually improve upon the platform. Saying you wouldn’t drive the MACH 1 if it were auto wasn’t a good look guys. I’d like to go back to the drivers car comment. You stated that the CT4 BW and Supra are good in either auto or manual and therefore, no matter what guise they come in, doesn’t matter, either will work, somehow qualifying them as more of a drivers car than the MACH1? You also mentioned that one would have to get the Mach1 is such a specific spec to be a drivers car and because of you having to spec the Mach 1 as a manual and with HP it’s not a drivers car, I guess…? A drivers car to me is something that is engaging and keeps your attention and elicits emotion. The MACH 1 you reviewed here on your channel hits all of those marks Is the MACH engaging? Tremec 6 speed, Rev match (which can be turned off) and multiple driver modes from track, sport etc. I’d say that’s engaging Does the Mach keep your attention. It sure as hell does. And it’s not just a “sticker” package. It has striking looks in some of the best colors on performance cars today with bold performance styling and the best exhaust note of any car below $100k Does it ele if it emotion? Walking up to it, does it excite you. I’d say most would confirm it does. When you start it up, does it put a smile on your face? I’d say most would confirm it does. When you downshift does it sound absolutely amazing? I’d say most would confirm it does. Is the car capable? You two wouldn’t know this fact, simply deducing from what you two projected in this review but Car and Driver does Lightning Laps at Virginia International Raceway each year since I wanna say early to mid 2000’s, and they time the hottest cars on this track. Everyone has such praise for the Mighty 1SS 1LE. Is it a great car? I’d say yes. But is it the most capable and should it get all the praise while the Mustang continually gets shit on by journalists just following opinions of the masses. Would you know the 1SS 1LE was bested by not 1, not 2 but 3 NA Mustangs. PP2, GT350R and yes, the MACH 1. The MACH 1 was so damn capable it beat the GT350R. The Mach 1 was a full 3 seconds faster than the Camaro. On a track that’s an eternity..
