2022 IDPA Coastal Carolina Challenge - 1st Place - Carry Optics Master - Canik Darkside Rival

I switched from a 1911 to a Canik Rival less than 2 weeks ago and wasn't sure how this match was going to go due to barely having any time on the new platform. I was pleasantly surprised by the results. I shot a little slower than normal and was down a few more points than I would like to have been but I am starting to figure the gun out and am optimistic that my speed and accuracy will quickly return to where it was while reaping the bennefits of the better ergonomics.

Thanks man. I think you'll like it! I'm using a comptac m&p holster that I modified with a heat gun to reshape it to fit the rival while I wait for proper holsters to be made for it. The gun comes with a holster but I wasn't a huge fan of it. It also comes with 2 mags and I aqquired a 3rd tp9 mag from a friend while I wait for those to become available too lol. You can also modify Beretta m9 mags to fit if you have any lying around

@@Dirtypool40-mk2 please do, id be curious if they run. I know smokey mountain concealment makes a holster for the Rival right now but they have a lead time. I think Redhill should have them soon as well

Pros and cons to each but overall I think the Canik a better fit for me in IDPA due to its better control placement, and I can also use the same gun in USPSA
