I had the V6 a few years back but swapped it for a slightly more practical RS5 (four seats). I then got bored of the predictability and monotony of an AWD car and missed the excitement the Jag gave me but as I'd already owned one I opted to go for the C63 AMG. But even that with its tremendous V8 just didn't feel as special as the F Type. So I'm picking up my new F Type V8 RWD this afternoon and I simply can't wait to get back behind the wheel of it. The moral of this story is that the grass is not always greener, and F Types bloody rule!

I don’t know. Roll the windows down and get the coupe I say. It’s almost criminal to not get the coupe, it’s so beautiful of a shape. The convertible kills those lines.

Thanks for a fantastic review. I have a Spyder red V6S and its sounds outrageous. Smiles for miles. Its the sound, performance, price and design that wins over Porsche all day long. I wonder what will replace it?

Great review. The V6 sounds actually even better if you like F1 not American muscle car.....and the coupe is every day awd...snow, suitcases, and even better looking (coupe).

Great car, maybe even the best line Jaguar ever made. Never driven an E-type, but the 6cylinder F-type is a fantastic drive (didn't like the V8 at all as much). Strange if they are dropping the great V6 as it felt a lot "lighter" than the V8 even if V8 had more power.

Jaguar F-Type P450 RWD (facelift version) has all markings of being a future collectible. The facelift version is largely neglected by the enthusiasts at the moment, much like how first generation NSX facelift was ignored by the public. Fast forward 20 years later, the "facelifted" NSX first gen is more respected in the collectors' market compared to the pre-facelift first gen NSX. The number of P450 RWD produced by Jaguar in facelifted variants will be small, and probably a lot fewer than any pre-facelift F-Type. I bought mine from factory order earlier this year, and I think it is a good bet that people who purchase P450 RWD before the end of production will get at least the MSRP back when all gasoline sports cars are forced to end production in 2035. Supply of new gasoline sports cars will be zero, while the demand will be only stronger due to nostalgia. It's no brainer to collect some low volume gasoline sports cars these days and keep them for 10+ years, IMO.

Only time will tell. Not overly optimistic that this is true myself, but I guess we’ll see. I’d settle for just not having the value free fall like I keep hearing happens with these cars. Would be nice, despite me not overly caring all that much. I don’t view cars as investments. I say all this as someone who just bought a new R coupe.

33 % LCT does not help. RRP of $ 171 k Includes about $ 33 k of just LCT ! And the GST etc etc So, in total, the RRP of $ 171 k Includes about $ 50 k Of GST & LCT LCT gets calculated on the price including GST, so it’s “” a tax, on a tax ! “” 🤷🏻‍♂️

Full electrification is at least 10-12 yrs away....it's simple math.....plenty of time for a 3d gen F-type duh

Jaguar announced back in 2019 that they will be making the shift to only producing EV's from 2025. An they haven't changed their mind, so this is the last version of the petrol powered F Type that will ever be made.

They didn't come with MT. That is a no for me. Sports cars need to have driver engagement. No MT means less driver engagement.

The center shifter.... Truly a reason to not buy the car... An invention that didn't need inventing.... Not intuitive a in any way and you have to be careful to don't take off on reverse when you meant to go forward... a class action lawsuit in the making... other than that a nice car
