Is the 2022 worth the extra money? What do you think?

Picked up my 2022 gt elite in ceramic grey 8 months ago, still stare at it in the driveway and love the drive. It's utility makes it a great family sedan.

Love the stinger. Always have. I also don’t have a problem with you covering kias. I think it’s rare that KZfaq’s cover them so thoroughly. More Hyundai would be nice;) Ian is “killing it again” with the b-roll!

I still think the Stinger in that medium gray color looks great

I bought a GT2 in the states. I really like it so far. The steering feel is so much better than my Audi A7 which has pretty numb steering. It is fast! Pretty great. Trying not to be a badge snob and went for the Kia.

Just bought my second stinger! I had a 2020 GT Limited and just traded that in for the 2020 GT Elite given the many needed updates. I also took advantage of the marked up used car market. Love this car! So happy! Also owned the Forte and optima so being a kia owner for more than 10yrs, I definitely see the improvements year after year at Kia.

Mike great video as usual. I think the Stinger is a great buy for the money as compared to European and domestic U.S brands. The design and interior tweaks were spot- on. And having driven the Stinger myself, it is incredibly fast. And solid to boot! For the money, there are just no valid complaints, I am with you, my friend. BTW. I certainly do not want to be critical or picky but- you seemed a bit rushed my friend. That's not your usual ease. As always, all the best, and great video. Oh, nice tan too! LOL

I got my stinger GT limited last March. I drive it every day on the 400 from Barrie to the GTA. It does 9 - 9.5L for 100km (on 91 and 87 too) and I'm not a slow driver. That car is amazing. I have 2 kids and i can fit their car seat in the back+ big stroller + more in the trunk no problems. Did my first oil change last week for 120$ at kia orillia. Had the extended warranty for 2700$ 200k 8 years. Who can beat that? The only squeaking that i have is from the center armrest if i put pressure on it, and it's warranty fix. I 💙 my KIA.

2022 is Nice! I have 2021 Stinger in the USA with Thunder Grey or Panthera Metal color goes great with previous rim style with grey accents on the spokes. The 2022 taillight bar is cool but ever car started to do the same. 2021 taillights is more unique similar to Maserati!

I have the RWD 3.3 GT and I enjoy the way it handles it’s more playful but still controllable

I bought my GT Elite in the new Ascot Green back in April and have been a very happy owner. The creaking only happens when my Stinger is exposed to the sun during working hours. Since I park my Stinger in the garage at home, it's never an issue when I take it out of the garage. So maybe get in the habid of parking it in the shade if you can until the issue is resolved.

Love the review! I just drove one of these yesterday and it was fun to stab that throttle, twin-turbo power is addicting! If you'd believe it, the car I drove had the same creak in the sunroof above the driver seat too. Must be somewhat common of a problem?

Excellent review. That suede interior is fantastic. I wish we had it here in Australia. Not sure why the steering wheel is not done in suede as well. I have last year's model here in Oz and absolutely love it. When all things such as price, warranty, driving experience, performance, style and quality are taken into consideration, there in nothing on the road that can compare in my humble opinion.

Just bought a 2021 GT2 in Ceramic Silver last night. Thanks to the registry offices I can't register until July 23rd or so since they are appointment only. UGH! I'll make a loan payment before I drive my car. Love it though, such a sweet ride! Red Interior looks sharp in it as well. :)

Great video, I have the 2019 GTS, and I hit 172 mph multiple times what a car, driven across Europe and its a car that turns heads, in romania I got stopped by police 3 times to ask what car it was, in Portugal I race porches and other on the motorway, in Italy in Rome tourists were taking pictures, it's definitely a great car with a lot of presence that I love driving everywhere.. Just got a 2022 Stinger Gt awd. Was driving an 18 C 43 Amg Mecedes and i think they are very comparable. I am a used car wholesaler and for the money you just cannot beat this car.

Just picked up a 2022 GT Elite (TT V6 3.3), white exterior and red leather interior and this car is just friggin phenomenal. IDC what anyone says about the badge, Kia made an insane car and I can see these things holding their value years to come. It is FAST, so good looking and very practical. And if you are driving HWY you may get pretty decent fuel economy in eco mode.

When you mentioned showing the gauges on the center display, you were reading my mind. I have thought that a great option to include in a software update would be the three digital gauges completely filling the center display. I’d set the star button to trigger them showing. I actually prefer the analogue gauges in the driver’s cluster because it’s what I am used to, and they may continue to work even if the digital display has a problem.

I bought my 2018 Stinger for the styling (and Kia's reliability). I selected the 4cyl turbo for the fantastic fuel mileage ... and to save about $6,000. It has plenty of power. New out-the-door for $33,600. Wow!

As an owner of a 2018 Stinger limited ( GT2 ) I wouldn't bother looking at the new ones, Just not enough " refresh " to interest me to upgrade. But....if I didn't own one, the 2022 would be on the very short list. Actually, a new 2020 or 2021 at a discount price would be where I'd go. I've had mine for almost 3 years now, and it still turns heads and is a blast to drive, even in Manitoba winters Those new Michelin North 4 studded tires are amazing with this car.

I appreciate that the Kia's sticks with analog guages compared to digital. I drove my Dad's Lexus ES250 and I appreciate the analog display. Yes digital is cool, but nothing beats a well done analog, especially for a driver focus car. Hope to be able to afford this car once I get my job

I have the Panthera metal 2020 GT and it's been great to say the least. Yes, I've modded it out both performance wise and aesthetically. Love it though. No complaints. No real ones at least.

Great review bud. Just getting better and better. Hi from NL btw. Stinger is a crazy deal in Canada. Its a shame they aren't selling more. The Kia stigma is a hurdle. Even myself, back and forth between the Type S and this and well, I couldn't do the Kia. I drove, its great, checks literally every box even more so than the Type S. Better tech, more options, about 6 grand cheaper. Crazy deal. I still believe the sportback is the answer to saving the sedan. Oh, did I see cliché corner?

I have a 2019 and I have the same rattle. What was the fix for it?

I had that crackle noise in my new 2022 and found it to be 2 things: The grab handle needed some felt tape on the back where it makes contact with the metal and 2 there is a small white foam block between the headliner and metal right around where your head is. When the body flexes it rubs on the foam making that noise. I removed the piece of foam from driver and pass along with felt tape and now it's silent! Do not let the dealer pull your headliner, it will make things worse

have bought the GTS. It sure looks beautiful and cannot wait for it to arrive. Test drive brilliant. Who gives a dam about the badge, the old one was more than similar to the ford badge and they haven't done bad for themselves.

I got my 2019 Kia Stinger GT 20th Anniversary Edition in Jan 2020 and have since put on over 80,00km on it so far. Driving all over the place, this car gets a lot of attention from all ages; children, teens, adults and especially seniors for some reason lol. Gets even more attention now that I have an exhaust and a burble tune. Haha

We at home are realy audi lovers . We have a Q3 2018 that we love , we sold are audi ttrs 2018 performance pack last summer , we got a realy good all around car in a hyundai veloster n dct 2022 and we look foreword to get the new c8 ( in lt1 z51 cuz whe work hard and we aint rich) . The veloster N realy surprized me in how german the ride is , a friend at work have the latest suby sti that was on the market and at a stop sign i eat im up and on a roll race . So I would go 110% KIA stinger. These cars are underdogs and the suprise on the faces off those who underestimated you .... joyfull . The finish of are veloster is not at all the finish and luxury of top end germans sports car but when you drive , you lokk in front of you . Very good channel keep the good work. Its realy fun that nice unafordable cars can be revued but also those realy fun one that we can howned.

My sons 2019 Stinger GT has the same 'creaking' noise from his sun roof. 4X in the shop and still doing it today. Sad they haven't fixed it.

the sunroof button is dual function there are 2 levels, if you push, there is a stop and that operates the shade only, if you push beyond the stop, you operate the roof its actually very obvious to the touch, surprised you didnt feel it..

#ACCELER8 Kia does offer an Audi A7/A8 competitor in other markets under their K8 and K900 models. We used to get them in Canada years ago but sales were very low as badge snobs couldn't justify spending $70k on a Kia. With the new rebranding and stronger lineup Kia has now I think it's time to bring them back!

Man, I like you reviews a lot! And for a sake of keeping the level high, let me share few thoughts on stinger (used to have) and how it compares to German premium sedans/hatches. The stinger is fantastic car from many perspectives, however, if you start comparing it to Germans...oh, here it's getting tough. For example, don't you feel the lag acceler8ing compared to ZF in g20? Besides, the build quality, materials, and infotainment - in g20 it is just another level. Regarding the warranty saving money. You mentioned it, but you didnt mention the fuel consuption, and it is terrible in the stinger. In Germany it kills the sales, since the gas price is 1.5 euro/l and having 330d with comparable to stinger dynamics saves more money than you give out for extra bumper-to-bumper warranty (~750p.a.) after the factory one is over. For me it is too many compromises and i changed to g20. Finally, if you mention a certain comparison (this time to the German premium) be honest till the end! The subscribers will appreciate it a lot.

That creaking noise you mentioned sounds like either the headliner is not seated properly (an issue some people have had -- pushing in on it can reseat it properly) or, like with my 2019 GT2, I had this popping noise in the same area (and around other doors as well) which would get worse the hotter it got outside. Turns out it was the tesa tape used inside the headliner -- it was slightly loose, so the adhesive was flexing and caused the popping noise. They were able to better adhere it, and it fixed the problem.
