That spinning elbow was absolutely bonkers! His knockout was nasty too, but to land that spinning elbow was incredible and 100% perfect timing and precision. Well.. so was his, I guess.. I guess it's all preference 🤷♂️

The Chandler-Ferguson KO was probably the most violent, but the significance of the Edwards-Usman KO should give it the edge. Just completely out of nowhere to dethrone the WW and P4P Champion.

What’s beautiful about Leon’s knockout is that he’s done it to a prime dominant Kamaru Usman. It’s one thing to knockout a high caliber fighter, but it’s another story when you sleep a supreme dominant champion in his peak performance.

From an athleticism and rarity standpoint it's Chandler's front kick ko. From an importance of title implications standpoint it's Leon's head shot dead kick ko.

Spinning back elbow is more rare and a much harder technique to land. But context is huge and Edwards landing a comeback knockout in the 5th against the reigning p4p...it doesn't get bigger.

I was there in person and I’ll never forget, after the excitement of the knockout kinda wore off Tony was still face down and I got the weirdest feeling in my stomach thinking he wasn’t okay

If you take away everything else surrounding it and just view the two KO's side by side, Chandler definitely has the better one over Edwards, IMO. When you throw in the stakes at hand and an impressive comeback situation along with the impressive misdirection, Leon wins. No 100% clear winner this year, I think. Same with Chandler/Poirer and Jiri/Glover, I believe.

With all the factors involved, Edwards for sure. Runner up is, Chandler. Meatball had to most stylish and surprising, and to see how much that home crowd lit up! it was crazy to see. All in all, Great KO's this year! Honorable Mentions to Chito/Cruz!

People may look back in Future and say "That Leon headkick was good yeah but KOTY 2022? Not sure about that" If you bring into context all of the things that surrounds the headkick, not just the actual KO but the comeback, Leon basically taking EVERYTHING from Kamaru. His Belt, his chance to tie Silva's streak, Kamaru was talking about fighting Canelo (Was never gonna happen but still) and finally his #1 P4P Status. Yeah....Leon hands down.
