Great review! You are one of the few KZfaqrs that actually do review on lower trim instead of just doing review on the turbo trims

I realized the channel is showing how a brand new 2022 CX-5 drives-with an extended freeway and sports mode high acceleration/racing speed. However, if I’m drive-testing one that I plan to buy (I already own a CX-5 but plan to get another one for my wife) I’d probably refrain from test-driving it hard-as the break-in for the first 600 miles recommended moderate speeds and acceleration to extend the engine life.

the backup camera is excellent resultion when you upgrade to the 360 camera. i myself driving a cx 5 with the highest model trim and the camera resultion is insanly good. comparable with bmw or mercedes.

mazda is known for good steering feel, and sport mode holds gears longer for more power.... not for "no reason". You dont know what you are talking about and wtf is up with your description?

It could be that the feel of the steering is light due to the fact that the AWD was factory set 60% rear and 40% front for day to day normal drive on dry weather. Just my guess. I did test drive a 2022 Subaru non turbo and the turbo, and I must say, the weakest link is that lousy CVT. I also test drive the 2022 Honda CRV, and Honda seems to have their CVT and their 190hp engine dialed in much better. The feel and responsive ness is a lot more like a normal automatic xmission. Gonna test drive the Mazda CX-5 and the CX 50 today….

@@Danter5435 I like them both, the natural 6 speed transmission and the natural aspirated 2.5 ltr ,great combo for not being turbo, highly recommend either one depending on one’s budget.

Some people say thag this is the prius of the segment. I dont think they’ve ever ridden one even if its the NA engine. 😂

Lol. All SUVs in this segment are weak. But the cx5 is available in 2.5 turbo

@@Iegend17 i wouldnt say weak. i mean its a segment not really in the department of power. but with the cx5 turbo and the old forester xt. we had pretty good choices.

I think I would pick the CX5 over the CX50 by a little because the CX50 is a little too wide and low it might be hard to park the SUV
