One of many spots 2 friends and I caught the 2022 Narcoa/Central PA Excursions Toys For Tots speeder run. 19 Speeders total and 2 Hy-Rails.

Great video of an interesting event. That's pretty cool! And for a great cause as well! I really like how some customize their speeders and do things like put Train horns on them and decorate them (that gingerbreadhouse one was one of my favorites) . Some were going pretty fast!

Yeah! It’s a great time. I ran my speeder on this run in 2016. Had an absolute blast. Im finishing up fixing it up after sitting for 5 years. 2023 will be filled with speeder videos 😂😂

@bnsf4884 cool lol! Looking forward to the speeder videos and seeing you fixed up speeder! BTW I just noticed in one of my videos that I recorded last Friday that someone wrote the Penn Central logo on the side of ALP-46A #4637.

@@ZachTheRailfannerYT There’s old videos from a couple years ago of mine when I ran it. Not long after the engine started to develop heavy oil consumption. Ended up swapping out the engine. And redoing a bunch of stuff. nice 🤣

I would put a horn up, but I don’t wanna risk any damage to the fiberglass. When I get a metal cab speeder i’ll mount a K5

@@bnsf4884 Yeah, that’s understandable. By the way, what air system do you use for your horns? Tank size, valve, and air line?

@@sepa2401 I used to use a 47 gallon setup. 20 gallon compressor 20 and 7 gallon surge tank. All 1/2 fittings with a Graham White valve.

@@bnsf4884 Wow, definitely more than enough air for train horns. I have a Nathan 3A single chime as well as a one of those fake three chime chrome horns. I have a 5 gallon tank which has 1/2 fittings. I am planning on getting a valve though it would probably be the cheaper hornblasters one unfortunately, which is not as nice as GW, but it has a slit on it where you can install a pull cord. I am planning on getting a 3 gallon compressor as well.
