Күн бұрын

This is a 2022 Navy Boot Camp Reaction by yours truly, Trell The Great, Marine Veteran. I will be reacting to the Navy Bootcamp Experience. In this Navy Boot Camp Reaction I will be comparing the Navy Boot Camp to the Marine Boot Camp. This Navy Boot Camp Reaction isn't meant to hurt any feelings or hate but I will give my honest opinions on the 2022 Navy Boot Camp. You might find the Navy Boot Camp isn't that hard definitely compared to the Marine Boot Camp. And the Navy Bootcamp 2022 isn't that much different than the Navy Bootcamp 2021 experience. However, each branches boot camp offers its own challenges. Hopefully you like this 2022 Navy Boot Camp Reaction. Hopefully you can see if you can handle Navy Bootcamp and the Navy Bootcamp life. And as always thanks for watching.

I'm glad the marine corps is still producing solid products, I was 120 lbs when I went in and I'm 155 now. I'll admit theres probably more slipping through the cracks nowadays then used to, but my drill instructors made me a 1/4 deck regular and I'm thankful for that In the end but it all comes down to how much effort one puts out

I graduated bootcamp last september and I can confirm the physical tests were cake, now it’s even easier just because the navy wants to fit in with the current society so they made things more soft, but the people saying it’s a joke and all that probably had no type of leadership position, I feel like giving yourself more of a leader role is the only way navy bootcamp can be difficult

I went to navy boot camp in Great Lakes in 91'. it's different now, we went to the range, shot 22s the sites were off, the CC's did not give AF (that sucked) I think their using M16s or ARs now. You could not graduate unless you passed swimming. Seals taught the swimming classes, you learned how to use your pants as a floating device (marines do the same) as you can see CC's are not as tough as DI's, I hated that we did not have an obstacle course. What was shocking to me was how many skinny guys that could not do pushups or sit-ups. It was nothing like the crucible for us. etc...

Marine Shallow water assessment in boots and camies, 25 meters in shallow water. Conducting this test in shallow water means less stress on the mind as far as actual drowning risk. Navy recruits have to swim 30 meters deep water, then finishing the last 20 meters at the shallow end, after jumping from a 10ft tower. Marines are not jumping from a 10 ft tower with cammies and boots, surfacing, then swimming 50 meters with a rythmic breathing requirement. Also, navy recruits are not allowed to do the front crawl or breast stroke with face out of the water, Navy recruits must perform those strokes with face in water, with rythmic breathing. That is the difference between Navy and Marines. Marine in water instructors are not in water for your safety, they are in water to make sure your not cheating and touching bottom. With self rescue, Marines are only going 25 meters after jumping from tower, once again, no requirement for face in water, rhythmic breathing. Employ a floatation device, pretty much the same event for Navy recruits jumping from tower with a life jacket on. 4 minute stay on surface, we all know that bubbles in the cammies will definitely help Marines stay on surface, aka Cheat code. Navy 5 minute prone float, no camies or boots, must demonstrate rythmic breathing with face in the water for 5 seconds, take 2 breaths, face back in water for 5 seconds, no treading allowed. These are the differences between Navy and Marines swim qual requirement. Every marine is a rifleman, and every Sailor is a fireman.

Alot of my shipmates could agree that there was much to be desired from Navy RTC. It was very, very easy. In fact, most of the males (integrated division) were losing our minds in bootcamp, because they thought they made the wrong choice in choosing branches-- Many of us had the mentality that it would be alot harder and demanding. The PT standards were easy as hell. And even then, we had the female side that came in barely able to do knee pushups. The RDC's told us themselves that it was almost garunteed that female divs/ integrated divs would keep the scholastic flag, but always lose the athletic flag due to girls who could not perform. Most of our ASMO recruits, were female. Good god how we hated when the RDC would go on a classic bootcamp rant, yelling etc the whole 9 yards, but then would stop to ask "i didnt offend anyone right? Just let me know if i offended or if i need to refrain from saying xyz"
